I like the concept of dumbo octopuses in minecraft, and I feel they would add some variety to the oceans and lakes. The only issue is whether or not the dumbo octopus will like squid despawn, as it would present issues if they congregate to the bottom of the ocean. That was why squids were made to despawn. Overall, I support the concept.
This is a pretty good idea, it would make oceans more vibrant. You still haven't said if guardians would attack them, though. Also, the egg laying rate seems way too slow, maybe make it the same as chicken, if not slightly slower?
All in all though, support.
now spawns 1 per 1.5 a bit faster than 2 dont want them to grow annoyingly quick like bats
I think it adds a bit more diversity to the oceans of Minecraft. However, the pink eggs could be used in other ways than just being a substitute and a octopus spawner. I think it could be a way to craft seafood since it comes from the sea.
Yes. The ocean needs more mobs, especially more agressive ones, and adorb ones.
