An addon to any coordinate in the world and if a block updates on that coordinate, it will send a redstone signal. EG. putting a furnace on the block it occupies means that the furnace will give a signal for 3 ticks when updated.
A BUD is a particular kind of glitch-based physics. I like that you have to trick the world into giving you what you want. That's what machinery based on advanced physics is supposed to do. I like that there's some unintuitive parts of the world that you can base builds on. So, based on that, this does not have my support.
But what if you don't want your furnaces to emit BUD signals? No support, the current semi-glitch based BUD's work pretty good, and they've become fairly compact these days. There's no need for a specific BUD block, or for regular blocks to give BUD signals.
