The Mud liquid will act similar to water but will cause players to swim slower in it and will spread more slowly. Exiting the mud will give players or mobs the slowness effect for 15 seconds. It will also make players and mobs leave temporary mud footsteps till the slowness wears off. The texture of it will be the same as water but brown.
Sounds simple, and do able. The only thing I'm worried about is it hitting other liquids. Also, will it work in buckets? A suggestion, make it flow slower than water but faster than lava.

Good idea but I think the texture should be a bit more lumpy. Also, when it collides with lava it should turn into hardened clay, and should yield to water.

Support, it'd make traversing swamps more interesting.
But what will happen if mud collides with water?

I really like this idea, but I think it should just be mud puddles. Other then that I think its a a great idea!
