I've come up with some a new idea. You know the elytra item and how it goes on the chestplate slot? Well what if all four dimensions had special items that went in the other slots? I have an idea as to what the Nether and Aether items would be.
Aether: Goggles: When worn on the head they reveals invisible mobs and players. It also reveals disguised prism glass's true form. It also acts as an upgraded pumpkin as it prevents the player's sight from angering endermen but without the default pumpkin overlay obstructing the player's view. It grants no armor. It can be dropped from Aether Spirits and have a rare chance to appear in Aether labyrinth chests.
Nether: Brace: When worn on the legs it allows the player to climb walls for about 10 seconds. Walls are climbed a little slower than they would with a ladder and it grants no armor. It can be dropped from Nether Wurms and has a rare chance to appear in Nether fort chests.
Think it's a good idea or not?
Also, I saw a recent image by Jeb mentioning that part of 1.10 will be Endermen appearing in the Nether. I wonder if... nah, probably not.
I make them in Paint.net and then use Techne to make it look like a block or mob. Unfortunately I have lost a great deal of work in computer transfers but I still have the models.
Wow, that's kind of rude. Why do you think this suggestion is crap? Too much content? Dimensions should have a lot of content in them. Something "unminecrafty". Remember potions, enchantments, horses, guardians and the elytra are things that were believed to be so. Please explain your opinion. It helps me improve the suggestion.
Right now you say that the End's existence makes the Aether unnecessary. I don't think this as the way the End generates is very different then how the sky dimension (What the Aether's generation is based on) generates. Both have unique content to offer and neither makes the other redundant.

Wait, really? You were really working on a mod? If this is so, then that is indeed bad news. I'm sorry you put in however much time you put into the mod just to have all of the work destroyed. I'm not sure what else to say.
After reviewing your suggestion, I have realized that this suggestion is a good one and I was being ignorant in my prior response. We do need an opposite to the Nether, but one that doesn't make you want to stay forever. Support!
I do certainly like the idea of toning down the aether mod, but taking some of its good ideas as far as what they would put in the game itself. I definitely think that, if this were added (it might need toned down a bit even then) it would be alongside an equally large update to the nether as one big major patch.

Curse PremiumI have seen this mod for 1.7.10 and I'd really like to play it but I'm on 1.9.
The amount of items on the mod kinda scares me for vanilla play though.
I'd really like to play this and check it out, though, this has been recommended to me to play. I just haven't been able to because im on 1.9.
Will there be an update? or has the mod stopped at 1.7.10?
This seems like a really cool idea would love to see more!
