Here is my idea for a new gamerule that could be helpful to mapmakers: respawnRule. Here is the format for typing it:
/gamerule respawnRule <rule> [delaytime]
<rule> has three possible values:
-choose: this is the default rule that applies when starting a new world. When choose is active, dying will be exactly the same as it is now: you have a choice of either respawning or quitting.
-autospawn: when autospawn is active, you will not be given a choice after death- instead you will instantly respawn at your spawnpoint.
-autoleave: when autoleave is active, you aren't given a choice, and are instantly forced to quit the world when you die (on a server, you will be kicked).
Now, you may be wondering what [delaytime] is. Delaytime is an optional value you can put into the command and is defaulted to 0 when starting a world. If you set it to anything other than 0, then you will have to wait that many ticks before the action is performed. Not inserting this value will cause it to remain the same as it was before.
example: "/gamerule respawnRule autospawn 100" will cause you to respawn after a 5-second delay. "/gamerule respawnRule choose 100" will give you a choice after a 5-second delay.
I like it, but how about for delay, it is in ticks as opposed to seconds?

Also take a look at this guide if you are requesting builders for a server/project.
Please note, if I deny a suggestion because it is already possible, then I mean it is already possible withing 10 command blocks (That do not spawn other command blocks) or up to 5 creations (Command blocks that spawn other command blocks) to make your suggestion.
If I critique your suggestion I am not hating on you. Learn the difference.
Could more arguments be added to this? Like forcing people to respawn at a different spawnpoint, or in a different gamemode after a certain amount of deaths? That would be a real help for server minigames and mapmakers. Support!
So, how would that be done? It seems kinda complex... Maybe use a different gamerule? Or even a different command? It seems like they don't fit into any of the existing arguments, but at the same time they seems to specific and unrelated to have their own arguments...
Point? If you are forced to quit the game, you could just join it again, or if you are forced to auto respawn, you could quit the game after you respawn, I can see the auto respawn in use if you think the Death GUI is annoying or if you want to delay your respawn. I give partial support.

True, but still, people aren't just going to purposely try to break something made for their enjoyment.

i think that the command soul be like
/gamerule playerRespawn <x> <y> <z> to change the destination of your next respawn only (so you will have to re-do it when usefull

-Pixel Format Not Accelerated Problems in Windows 10 Reasons-
1.Old Intel CPU (2nd Gen and older) and these aren't ready for Windows 10.Please downgrade to an older version
2-Slow/Intel GPU (But sometimes Intel GPU just work fine from 3rd Gen CPU or newer on Win10)
3-Update Drivers (recommended for Dedicated GPU but not always for Intel's)
[This signature isn't to critisice Intel/Microsft or any thing of this sort, I am criticising You and You idiotness for not checking the requirements for Windows 10] (If you are annoyed of the ammount of the thread with a "Pixel Format Not accelerated" problem, plz Share this signature

Hopefully that was clear. What do you think?

Oh, that's a good idea. Never thought of that, thanks.

This could be useful in PVP minigames and such, support!
Good idea.

Im not not supporting this, but this can already be impemented with some basic redstone and scoreboard commands.

First off, Support.. But I would like to say it would be cool to also be able to choose where you spawn, like a box on the side of list of spawnpoints
It it would be a side bar option like on the right. Clickable spawn points
