Seecret friday updates were exciting. It was just a small update, released on a friday, that you would have to look for, and was kept secret at mojang until it was released. It was like an easter egg hunt.
I just thought that it would be exciting to have one of those again.

I agree with you on this very badly great idea the only problem is it will not be the same... since back in alpha survival was the only way to disover them so people could just hop into creative and find the stuff instily
Yeah, but it's still fun to find stuff. Don't think of how easy it was, just think of what you could discover. Like funkyskunk1 said, it's about Easter eggs.

A wild opinion appeared! Everybody freak out and start insulting each other because you don't agree with it!
The first new Seecret Friday should add Easter Eggs.
Jokes aside, I think that that would be a good idea, actually. To solve the Creative mode problem, seems like they could just not add the new items/blocks/mobs/whatever to Creative mode until the next Friday update, when they add new Seecret stuff. By that point everything from the original update should be discovered already anyway.

Yes, I'm one of these guys: If I say something that offends you or just seems wrong, please let me know. I was almost certainly just making a joke or a pun, or something really dumb like that, and didn't mean anything by it. Don't take anything I say too seriously!

Yes. I miss the small updates. All we have now is big updates that we know everything about until the day they are released.
Oh my god, I would love this so much. They were fun, but I could almost never find them. Now that I know about Minecraft a lot, I would probably find them easily. Anyway, I love this idea.
Yeah, let's add back the pointless secret weekly buggly updates that added Minecarts, the most buggy thing in the world, and Sugarcane, the item with the least uses in the game! Ok enough Sarcasm. Not finishing something you started working on to release it on Friday bugged, and unfinished, is just...a bad idea... A mistake Notch made.
Being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of. Nerds rule the world! Who invented the internet? Nerds. Who created personal computers and smart phones? Nerds. Who made every video game you've ever played and ever will? Still nerds. Who sent probes to distant planets? Nerds, nerds and more nerds! I'm a nerd and I'm proud.

What would Minecraft be without Minecarts? From them came rollercoasters. And without sugarcane we wouldn't have books and so we couldn't have different levels of enchantments. Seecret friday updates added useful things. Shifting was in the last seecret friday update. Wouldn't it suck to build if you always fell of edges?

That's not what I meant, I really appreciate adding them. But Notch worked on them on a hurry to release them in one week, so they aren't as polished as something he would take a lot to implement. Say two of you are making a burger, one just makes it in 40 seconds, and another takes his time to make it as delicious as possible, which burger would be better?

I feel like Seecret friday isn't something you should do now that Minecraft is a lot bigger. We have the weekly snapshots instead, mainly meant for bugtracking and feature testing. Seecret Friday updates would be cool, but updating the game with a new, possible buggy feature? I don't think that's wise to do.
Hey, that gives me a good idea! Maybe they should just add secret features to snapshots that come out on Fridays or something. They do rarely add a secret feature to snapshots now and then, but it would be cool if it was more common. They would still have plenty of time to fix bugs, too.

Would be nice to experience those again. I enjoy finding Easter Eggs, especially during the Secret Friday Update.
