The jack-in-the-box is a cosmetic block that creates a head entity in front of it when activated. The head stares at the player closes to it, and upon losing power, will immediately retract back into the block.
The head behaves like an immobile mob and cannot be destroyed or moved.
Besides acting as an aesthetic block, the jack-in-the-box serves a use in Redstone mechanics.
In short, the head can be used as an activator for tripwire circuits.
The jack-in-the-box's ability to be placed facing six different directions grants it flexibility that a Piston and Minecart do not have. It can be reused when activated sideways, the head cannot be moved off of the Piston, and it cannot be destroyed by a stray strike.
It serves as a luxury decorative block for the late-game players, as well as a useful tool for creating power lines.
When the head spawns, it initially jumps forward two blocks before resting back to one.
The expansion lasts a single tick, long enough to generate a Redstone pulse.
If power is cut off to the jack-in-the-box at any time, the head immediately retracts.
If the head doesn't have any room to make the expansion, it simply jumps forward once and rests at that location.
Why...? I guess if you want to make five nights at freddys in minecraft, the only real use is in creative, as heads are very hard to get. Also what will it look like? What if the power is stronger/weaker? etc. Very vague, more detail please.

It can be built using a pumpkin, and it's appearance is a box with an "exit" indicator.
Like most Redstone-enabled blocks, different power doesn't do anything.
I just realized that 90% of all of the quality redstone asset postscome from you, and I for one salute you for taking the time to think up, describe, and even create clever and useful imagery for them!

Constantly evolving, reaching further heights.
All I see I understand is that this might have something a little interesting to red stone mechanisms.
Isn't this hype over yet?
By the way, it's kind of hard to understand the whole topic, but as a decoration for late game it would be good, just sort out the redstone part
