They don't have to attract slimes but trapping/killing baby animals would be cool understand the rotting flesh bit... it'd be cool if they 1 per rafflesia zombies agroed until/unless attacked this could be an easy way to add early protecton for villages if you done it that way i suppose if it had water the zombie could stay alive during day what did you think of the dye idea the plant needs craftable jargen lol
Possibility, even though this would make no sense:
Zombies prefer you over a rafflesia, but prefer a rafflesia over villagers?

The idea seems pretty cool, but it would really annoy me if crafting it with a flower pot didn't make it look like it was in a flower pot. I'd prefer it if one of the other suggestions for purification was used and you could then craft the flower pot version.
I don't think a rafflesia would fit in a flower pot, and even in a different shaped flowerpot, it might be a bit big.

Since this forum editor is so terrible, and doesn't allow me to quote 6 people at the same time, I'm going to be doing this the old way:
@Shady_Vagabond
They do spawn in swamps, as well as jungles, and roofed forests. I'm not sure quite what you mean by the poison rafflesia. Does it replace the purified rafflesia, and attract slimes? The only reason I added the purified one is because some people might want the block, but not lots of zombies. I don't get the thing about zombies and the moon cycle. I was thinking of it being able to be used as a cauldron, but I'm still not sure whether it's a good idea. I think about it.
@ironsloth1993
Thanks for the support, and yes it is the flower that smells like rotten flesh, which is why it attracts zombies.
@ThePhysician2000
Not sure why bats swarming it would be useful. Give me a good reason and I'll add it.
@coolreader18
Not sure quite what you mean by they will eat it, but I don't like the sound of getting infinite rotten flesh so easily. Well, they have to be attracted to it for some reason. Plus, it could be rare, and rotten flesh isn't exactly OP, is it? Should they make it drop diamonds? And you're probably going to use the unpurified one for a mob farm anyway.
@Dormentality
I would agree with this first part, but rafflesias are rootless flowers. Although, your second part about picking up the flower with shears was an idea on how to get a purified one, but not on vines.
While it does grow on vines in real life, minecraft's vines aren't quite the right type for a flower so large. I was thinking that a way to farm them would be good on the other hand, but I don't know quite how they should be farmed.
@Kili444
I have a few different ways that a purified rafflesia could be acquired. Bonemeal was one of them. As mentioned elsewhere, picking one up with shears was another. As badprenup mentioned, Sugar isn't actually a bad idea. Or I could just change it so that it returns the flowerpot. Maybe a poll is needed. It would probably attract from the same distance as a cow is attracted to wheat.
Idea! If the Rafflesia Get's struck by lightning, it should become an entity and actively hunt it's prey. You should be able to right click with a Rafflesia on an iron golem/snow golem to shove the Rafflesia on their head. This would make them seek out zombies first, and from longer range.

I don't think that's the best idea, sorry.

Item frames are a good exaple in this case: When a normal item is placed in a frame it just gets displayed but a map causes the item frame to stretch all over the side of the block it is attached to.
You could do the same with flower pots and let it adapt to the size of the flower.
Edit:
A cactus also shrinks considerably when placed in a flower pot so it wouldn't be strange, if the same would happen to rafflesias.
True enough, but a rafflesia would be tiny. It would make more sense if the flowerpot grew, and the rafflesia shrunk.
Response in bold.
They are attracted because of the smell.

If zombie in range of rafflesia move to it
If rafflesia is empty zombie enter rafflesia
If zombie occuping rafflesia ignore rafflesia
And if zombie agro is player or door ignore and enter rafflesia
If zombie agro hostile mob/player agro it above rafflesia
