Fish Man: Ocean Boss
Summoned by placing a design on the ocean floor with glowstone to attract him.
He attacks using sonar pulse.
Sharks spawn in the area until he is killed.
Drops "Air Bladder" when killed. Combining this with an Item from the Sky dimension could be used to create a crude oxygen tank.
Shroom Man: Mushroom Boss
Summoned/Created by placing a ring of mushrooms within a mushroom biome and planting a mushroom in the center. Then use redstone and Bonemeal to turn the center Mushroom into a Shroom Man.
Very Large Mob.
Goes berserk and attacks everything in sight.
Knockback when struck by Shroom Man
Spews poisonous spores dealing 5 hearts of damage over 10 seconds
Drops "Magic Spores" when killed. Used on mushrooms to create mini Mushroom men that draw aggro from mobs, collect dropped items for the player and glow slightly (but do not create light like torches). Killed by sunlight or water. Controlled like wolves.
GhastBush: Swamp Boss
Spawns when nether wart is planted in swamp biome and several junks of meat are dropped on it.
Makes the same sounds as Ghast
Made up of many layers of leaves, wood and thorns. (Looks like a rose bush mixed with a Venus flytrap)
Fly trap like mouths spawn on leaves and spit spiked seeds at player.
Cannot be lit on fire.
Shoots vines that act like the players fishing rod. Drawing player towards thorn blocks.
Killed by destroying the trunk.
Drops "Heart Wood" one ingredient for a super growth potion (Turns trees/mushrooms/cacti into "World trees/mushrooms/cacti" massive forms of these plants) and spitter seeds to grow the seed spitting fly traps for use as defense turrets.
(Defense turrets would be helpful if a zombie siege mode is ever implemented.)
I couldn't find a picture to illustrate my basic idea of how it might look
Instead of a huge cave, might it be better to have a large, floating construction like the Aeromancer, but instead be steampunk-themed, with large machines everywhere, possibly piston doors, and automated dispenser turrets? It might even be possible to have it so that it's kept aloft by 'Engine' blocks, so if you kill the boss, you can use his castle for your own purposes, but if someone or something ( ) destroys them, it crumbles.
Alternatively, you could have indestructible Engines, but a well-defended reactor room in which a special 'Reactor' block in the middle (of course, accompanied by the prerequisite giant power cables, giant Warp and/or Tesla coils, etc.). The idea is that if you destroy the reactor, first all of the machines on it go nuts because of power surges (turrets shooting randomly, piston doors randomly closing and opening, large machines exploding, etc.) and then after a minute or so, the construct (I'm calling it that because it's not an island nor a magic floating castle, but a machine) explodes from the inside out, showering the area in bits of metal.
I don't expect you to think much of this idea, but I thought it would be cool :smile.gif:.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
We did not invent the Algorithm. The Algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The Algorithm killed Jeeves. The Algorithm is banned in China. The Algorithm is from Jersey. The Algorithm constantly finds Jesus. This is not the Algorithm. This is Close.
All of these bosses are amazing, really. But one thing that branches off the tracks is that their names are a bit cliche. Most original Minecraft mobs have classical names: Creeper, Endermen, Jockey. Earth Monster and Yeti seem a bit too overused.
A sort of "Sea Serpent" it starts out HUGE, but only causes a little bit of damage. Why, you might ask? Well much like slimes when it dies it breaks into smaller and smaller enemies much like the original boss. The catch? Each time you kill it the littler ones cause more and more damage to where, if you manage to get this far, the smallest ones cause 10 hearts of damage, making it almost impossible to kill. and if you do manage to kill it you get at least 2 diamonds. It would spawn in the deep, dark depths of the ocean biomes. If this has been suggested before I am sorry just saw this thread and have had the idea for a while now. :smile.gif:
Damn, that's a long post. All I have to say is: queen creepers. I left a comment on this post:
Why not make a large underground structure made up of a dark green/grey block? It would be impermeable to explosions of course. light green creepers (as in the plant, not the mob) could cover the walls and floors, and they could burn up in explosions. A "queen creeper" could constantly give birth to little baby creepers who's explosions are only 1 block in diameter, and give a half a heart damage. If you get too close to the queen creeper, she explodes sending a ridiculous amount of baby creepers in all directions. Killing a baby creeper drops 0-1 gunpowder. Maybe a baby creeper head/body could be a cube, instead of a rectangle box.
You should add bigger types of the vanilla mobs that are just twice the size of the regular ones. Also you could try to add crazy buildings that insane people built (it should have TNT as the foundation and when you flick a lever they should blow up)and crazy people and add a very ****ed up Herobrine.
How about a "Light Wizard" type thing? (Aether, like Cryomancer etc.)
Name: Holy Priest
Spawn: Spawns in a large temple FLOODED with light.
Drop: Holy Water,Holy Orb, Light Glowstone
Appearance: A man wearing very white clothes, with a blue cross on a large hat.
Entrance: A bright light shines, blinding the player, and the Holy Priest appears.
Special: Heals over time.
After dying, all the light in the temple will suddenly go out, and monsters will spawn. If you do not get out in time, the doors close with a Nether Portal as the only exit.
Attacks:
Holy orb: Fires a shining ball of light at you. If you get hit, your blinded for one second.
Ray of light: Fires a "beam" at you, which does damage over time while it hits. It does not have knock back. The longer you get hit by it, the brighter your screen becomes.
Flash: Blinds you for three seconds.
Holy Shield: Temporarily creates a shield whilst he charged up for one of the attacks below. It can only be broken by "evil" weapons (e.g. something made out of nether materials)
Smite: Many thunderbolts will come down from the sky and smash around you. They randomly hit a 10x10 area around you, but about thee to five bolts hit.
Light Barrage: Makes many large rays of light around the temple, limiting movement.
God's Wrath: Makes many thunderbolts hit around the whole temple, and also makes random, larger versions of the holy orbs fall down.
Drop(s):
Holy water: It heals you to the maximum and gives you "regeneration". It does not fill your hunger. It also makes you able to walk on water. Descend with the shift key.
Recipe:
[] []
Where = a bucket of water. You get the buckets back.
Holy Orb: Lets you fire Orbs of Light, which when hit a block, make it emit light temporarily. If you have some glowstone dust, it uses that and makes it light up forever.
Recipe:
Where = a glowstone block.
Light Glowstone: Bright glowstone white lights up a massive area. Used to make glowstone tools.
Recipe:

Where = glowstone block.
And also...:
Name: Dark Wizard
Spawn: In an obsidian castle, completely dark, in the Nether.
Appearance: Long red beard, completely black eyes, with black wizard clothes and a red necklace.
Drops: Cooled lava, Dark Orb, Dark Glowstone
Entrance: Any torches you've placed in the room will be knocked off the walls. Glowstone will temporarily lose light. Then, you hear an evil laugh, and when the glowstone turns back on, he has appeared.
Special: He destroys torches instantly, and when in a 3x3 radius to a glowstone block it turns "off".
After the fight, the room will turn completly bright, but water is flooding the room. Not getting in time leaves your only exit an Aether portal.
Attacks:
Evil orb: Fires a black orb. Anything it hits will turn completely dark, allowing mobs to spawn. This leaves you with a problem which can only be solved by putting a piece of glowstone dust on the spot.
Dark ray: Does exactly the opposite of the Holy Priest's attack.
Nox: Knocks torches of walls and temporarily "turns off" glowstone.
Dark Defence: Same as Holy Priest's, but can only be broken by "Light" weapons (E.g. Aether)
Obsidian cage: Traps you in a cage and pulls you into the air. Leaves you open to attack as it's only a 5x5 area.
Darkness Descend: Fires a massive dark ray at you. This will hurt: not because of the ray, but because of the dozens of mobs spawning in it.
Devil's Wrath: Turns off glowstone for a large period of time whilst firing massive evil orbs at you. Also teleports all mobs in a large radius into the temple.
Drops:
Cooled lava: Acts like holy water, but for fire and lava.
Recipe:

Dark Orb:
See holy orb, imagine the opposite using redstone dust.

Dark Glowstone:
Takes AWAY light.

Next up:
Name: Electromancer
Spawn: Normally reasonably near a wind temple, but doesn't have to be. Looks like a black version of the wind temple, except thunderbolts come out of the bottom occasionally.
Appearance: Human with black clothes, and a hawk's head(All black). Has thunderbolts where the Aeromancer's bird wings are.
Drops: Lightning Rod
Entrance: Appears in a large thunderbolt.
Special: Flies like Aeromancer.
When you fight him, it automatically changes to a storm. Also, his attacks do more damage in water, and spread throughout the whole area slowly (visual effect). Finally, if you kill him, the temple will start to fall and lots of large thunderbolts will hit randomly.
Attacks:
Thunder Shock: Fires a electric bolt at you. Has a chance to paralyze temporarily.
Thunder Bolt: A thunderbolt hits you on your noggin'.
Heavy rain: Lots of rain makes water flow up from one to three blocks.
Storm Surge: Fires many large thunderbolts randomly around.
Drops:
Lightning Rod: Right click for lightning, left click for a melee paralyzing attack which does the damage of a thunderbolt.
Recipe:

And finally:
Name: Forest Druid
Spawn: In a circle of trees. the trees close behind you when he spawns.
Appearance: He looks like an elf, which green wizardy-type clothes.
Drops: Essence of Nature
Entrance: Two dirt blocks rise out of the ground, turn into leaf blocks, then turn into him.
Special: Any plantlife in the area cannot be broken.
When you kill him, plantlife turns back to normal and the trees blocking your exit either: 1 Shrivel up and die or 2 Move out of the way.
Attacks:
Vine strike: Fires a vine at you.
Tree root: Fires a bigger version of vine strike which comes out of the ground.
Nature's blessing: Heals himself a small amount.
Nature's revenge: Makes lots of tree roots come out of the circle of trees around you, making the battlezone a dangerous place.
Nature's Spirit: Makes many nature type things appear, but vines fire out vine strikes, trees use tree roots and flowers/mushrooms fire spores at you that poison. Lasts for approx. 30 seconds.
Drops:
Essence of Nature: Right click to spawn stuff like bonemeal. Does same effects as bonemeal. Right click on a fully grown tree to get a "Nature Spirit".
Recipe:
Where = Nature Spirit
Finally:
Glowstone tools are made by the respective type of glowstone. Normal glowstone no longer spawns in the nether, but in overworld.
Normal glowstone tools are gold tools. Except they radiate light and right click to place the respective glowstone block.
Arbitror, your version of the Creeper Queen awesome, balanced and overall well thought out but it'll need more attacks (just a few), the Creeper Queen itself will need a unique drop and we need a description of it's appearance (no, just a giant creeper won't do).
I'm glad you think it's awesome. The creeper queen could be a large cube, with 4 "feet" on the bottom, and a head on the front. I dunno, you be creative.
This sounds great!I think there should be a very rare Herobrine boss that will trap you randomly
and try to kill you. There should also be Sneaky Ninja!
Arbitror, I'm thinking that your creeper queen could look something like a big green ghast with legs and feet instead of tentacles, your idea of what it could look like is a good base for it also can you give your opinion on this boss.
Name: skeleton lord
spawn: dead looking plain of gravel or dirt with leafless trees sprouting and a higher spawn rate of skeletons and zombies.
Appearance: A giant draconic skeleton which is buried waist down with two pairs of horns and long arms.
Drops: about 10-15 bones, skeleton arrow
Entrance: appears dead skeleton at first glance but when close enough, the eye sockets will glow red and will push self up then roaring, initiating battle.
Special: randomly summons 'skeleton troops' which are basically armored armless skeletons which just stand around until contact is made, resulting in two hearts of damage then dieing, can only be hurt by hitting the spine section below the ribs or the skull.
Attacks:
Necrotic flames: breathes a stream of red-black flames which leave no trace (half heart per hit, hits 6 times before stopping).
Smash: slams both hands down (being hit results in three hearts worth of damage).
Dead bolt: spits a large dusty grey fire ball which explodes on contact (leaves no trace, 3 by 3 block radius, 3 hearts of damage from all blocks of said radius).
Arrow trap: A five by five ring of armed skeleton come up one by one, when the ring is complete they proceed to fire at the center.
Drops:
Skeleton arrow: Made by replacing stick and flint with bones, will fly a little straighter and a 3x as faster then a regular arrow.
I like the idea for The curse of the creeper, but it's appearance wasn't very good. How bout instead a black, varied greys, and dark red, with glowing white eyes. This way it would look much more like a normal creeper, but more evil.
Cactus boss:
Appears in the desert if you eat a cactus green dye ( its like a hallucinogen )
Looks like a huge cactus with one glowing eye.
Attacks:
Trys to bump into you or shoots spikes.
Drops:
Cactus juice??
Prickly pear fruit?? All cacti will spawn fruit blocks on top of them. Reminds me of some ancient legends on how killing so and so.resulted in this being formed from his body.
Mob legion
This boss is actually an army of mobs. In the front is a spider jockey with soldier's uniform. He is the commander of a huge skeleton army.
Lair:
Deep underground.
Attacks:
Sends zombies and creepers and spiders to attack you. Skeletons and spider jockeys stand at the back and shoot at you. You can only kill him if his army is dead.
Drops:
Saddles??
Necromancer's sceptre: used to tame mobs.
Hound of Death
Appearance: A black wolf with red eyes, dark red and silver stripe on its back, 1.5x as large as normal wolf
Attacks: Charge( runs at you at twice sprinting speed and bites), lava whip( whips its tail and lava spreads everywhere), and fireball(launches fireball from mouth)
Lair: would be found in the forest( the one with dark trees and pumpkins) leading a pack of smaller wolves, all wolves during the fight are hostile
Death: on death, it drops a red sword and 8 red ingot-looking things(which you could build into armor or tools), block it dies on becomes black
Once the player steps on black block to collect reward, a player model with a wolf head( colored same as first form) rises from the block. Only the red sword can damage it, and once defeated, it drops 16 more of the red ingots
Obsidianite
Appearance: A solid black player texture with purple lines over it
Attacks: Mimic: creates obsidian copies of all your items that it can use throughout the battle
Lair: a large hole in the ground surrounded by obsidian, with a ladder going down it. at the bottom, there is a room with lava and water surrounding an obsidian island that is 5x5
Death: drops obsisian sword, darkness arrows(x64)(which instantly kills whatever mob it hits)ladder drops down for you to get out of the room, once outa purple flash comes form lair, which then gets covered in obsidian
( you would need a diamond sworld to kill this boss)
HEROBRINE
Everyone is talking about the Herobrine myth. Well, not anymore. Herobrine's real...and he's WATCHING YOU!
Appearance: Default skin, exept with white eyes.
Lair: The Nether, in a Obsidian Castle. On the last room is a teleporter, which teleports you to a Bedrock platform flying above the Castle. When you reach it, Some explosions occur, which gives no damage.
Entrance: Shows the player in a 2nd person view in the back of the platform, and Herobrine appears in the sky, automatically using the Stomp attack.
Attacks:
Charge
Bow
Shockwave(He jumps, and then stomps the ground, creating a shockwave and demolishing all blocks that the shockwave touches. Only counts for blocks above the platform. Platform blocks doesn't counts. it also damages the player(6 hearts). Can be avoided by jumping above it.
Stomp(He jumps, and then stomps the ground, freezing anything that's touching the bedrock floor for 4 seconds.
Summon(He summons Hostile Creepers)
Ghast Attack(He yells something, and all Ghasts move to the flying platform, and start attacking the player. After 4 minutes, the Ghasts stop attacking the player, and go away)
Nightmares(He makes you see fake Creepers who you cannot touch, but the attack might scare and confuse you with the Summon attack)
Special:
Herobrine will keep haunting you when you enter the platform until you kill him. Alternatively, before you start the boss batle with him, when battling other bosses, he will appear the farthest possible that you can see him, but cannot notice him. Also, when he is defeated, the Tower starts to rumble, and then explodes. This deals no damage, but then Herobrine's soul goes inside the Castle's white eye, thus making it live.
Drops:
-Staff of Shamans(Regenerates health at a fast pace. Each time it is used, it's durability decreases. This is a Spore Reference)
-Herobrine's Eye(Wear in the Helmet slot, and Hostile mobs including bosses will mistake you with Herobrine[exept for Ghasts, which saw you battling Herobrine, and they know you won]. Durability decreases as you stand in a Mob or Boss's field of vision)
Crafting:
Staff of Shamans
Herobrine's Eye
Gold Ingot is Staff of Shamans.
Achievement:
Herocastle
This boss fight is initially started as you defeat Herobrine. Herobrine's soul will enter the Castle's eye, and it will come to life.
Lair: The Nether, the same castle that a Herobrine fight has initiated
Appearance: A Quite large Obsidian Castle, with an eye, on which Herobrine's soul is in. You must hit there to damage it. Hitting the Obsidian deals no damage.
Entrance: Right after Herobrine fight is done, the Player is shown falling right in front of the castle. He gets up, and sees Herobrine's soul going into the castle's eye. The eye gets red, and the castle starts to rumble like crazy. Then the fight is started.
Attacks:
Spawn: Herocastle's main attack, it will make random Skeletons, Zombies, Creepers and Spiders appear out of it, and start attacking the player.
Eye nuke: Herocastle's eye will turn orange, and a slow activated-TNT block will appear out of it, following the Player. Once it touches the ground, the player haves 1.5 seconds to run away. It does massive damage(8 hearts), but doesn't damages the castle.
Shockwave: Herocastle will only use this attack when it is with low health. It will jump, and crush in the ground, creating a shockwave, demolishing any blocks and mobs that are caught. Deals far more damage than Herobrine's stomp(9.5 hearts), and the player can only survive when he is with 10 hearts, otherwise he will DIE.
Special: Whenever you try to walk away from the castle without having defeated it, you get blocked by a invisible barrier, and a message will say "Too scared to fight? Ha ha hah, I won't let you leave until you are terminated!". All Nether portals within the range will be deactivated and cannot be re-triggered until the fight ends. When the Herocastle haves 1 heart, all of the items of the player will be dropped and pushed inside the castle. This will make the player forced to enter it, because he cannot harm the eye with his bare fists. But, this is a trap. The doors will lock tightly, locking the player inside. He is then forced to, while avoiding creepers, skeletons, spiders, spider jockeys and zombies, look to the Eye room to kill Herobrine's soul.
Drops(by order of rarity):
-Steve Co. Ltd. Castle Pack(when placed on the ground, instantly makes a Castle. Requires crafting with Wood, Cobblestone, Stone Brick or Obsidian).
-Obsidian(5-15)
-Glowstone(2-4)
-Monster Spawner(0-1)
