So I was thinking about ways to create long redstone pauses in minecraft, but couldn't come up with anything better than repeaters.
Unfortunately, repeaters can only wait for four ticks, which means many are required to create long pauses.
I was thinking that repeaters could be given their own small GUI when right-clicked. This GUI would only have one space where you type in how many ticks you want the repeater to wait. I think this will make map-making much easier, as you can don't have to have a super long line of repeaters just for one dialogue.
Of course, some survival redstoners might prefer the challenge of making a ton of repeaters from scratch. So perhaps this GUI would only open while in creative mode?
Also, I'm not that up to date with all the new, crazy redstone. Is there another way to easily create long pauses that I haven't yet heard of?
Good point. Maybe there could actually be three boxes on the GUI: redstone ticks, normal ticks, and seconds. When you type in each one, it converts the others.
