yes and they would be able to break through wood glass dirt and sand so the only way to stay safe is to stay out of site and have cobble stone houses with iron doors but if you want wooden walls all you have to do is make a floating house.

I do have one question: how were you able to code the ghoul and stuff and create the 3D model? I absolutely suck at coding - I have no experience - and am currently trying to work on a mod of my own, your help would be awesome.

i don't think the ghoul should be taller and if anything it should just walk through water on the bottom and jump if it hits a ledge underwater and not drown, would be harder to get away from that way and it wouldn't burn up cus of the shade provided by the water.

i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
The only problem I had was the "dies instantly when it touches water"
This removes all the threat of the 20 health because the player can just dump water on the ghoul.
I agree that it's too easy to kill if all you have to o is touch it with water.
I've noticed that zombies can swim, and therefore it's hard to drown them. What if the ghoul has a high amount of life, but can not float in water. That way it would lurk beneath the surface, waiting to nip at your ankles, but would take forever to drown.
This would make it a much bigger threat, especially if you encountered several of them in an underground lake O_o
After everything iv'e seen i think this mod will be wonderful, but it just needs some sort of kick! Perhaps the Ghoul eats something disgusting like bones? So that would mean it would kill skeletons on a regular basis. I also thought about it and perhaps there could be a good use for the Ghoul. Maybe if you fed the Ghoul something weird like blue dye
It would become as fast as you, it could be given weapons, and it would fight with you against your enemies and then maybe people wouldn't instantly kill it with water. I't also won't De-spawn. I also thought about it being so strong maybe it could be ridden with a saddle perhaps it becomes 10% slower but it would give you so much life before you die.
That's the kick i hope you implement.

Easy fix. Just have the Ghoul destroy the block of water that you dump on him. Therefore, you kill the Ghoul, but you lose a bucket of water and are all alone in the world with just an empty bucket.

not idea stealing or anything just cos ghouls are in fallout and yes i know this isnt meant to be a fallout style ghoul but mine is a lot like this. ps the wastes is a post apocalyptic mod
I like the concept of the ghoul dieing when touched by water. I'm currently analyzing The Wizard of Oz for a history class, so it makes sense to me. :tongue.gif:
I think the ghoul absorbing the water is one good fix. Sure you've utterly killed this one, but now your water is gone. If they dropped mushrooms, that would be a good way to farm them.
It feels almost too easy with 20 life and really slow. That's about the same life as a creeper. Perhaps it should have more life? Be able to open doors even?
I agree it does need a weakness, but should not be able to open doors, make it sink like a rock in water. I want to renact dawn of the dead.

Actually I started to implement this into a mod. (Also the Spiked Grem). I've made a program that turns .blend files into what Minecraft can read (With the exception of legs, you still have to designate what boxes are legs). Sure, you wont be able to have the same texture map, but texturing is easy for Minecraft mobs.
