Right now, there isn't too much of a reward for raiding an Ocean Monument. You get a lot of gold and some neat blocks for building. That is pretty much it. I think this idea will change that. Introducing the prismarine golem.
Prismarine golems are made exactly like snow golems, except with prismarine blocks instead of snow blocks. Prismarine golems have 30 health (15 hearts), the same amount of health a guardian has. They shoot a beam of bubble particles at enemies, which does no damage but brings the enemy closer to them. They then use melee. They do 2 hearts of damage to an enemy with no armor on. Unlike all other golems in the game, you can shift and click them to bring up a GUI similar to a horse's GUI. In this GUI, you can put armor on them and take armor off them. However, they can only wear leather, gold, and chain armor. The armor does not take durability damage. This makes gold armor very useful for prismarine golems as gold can get really good enchantments easier. Prismarine golems have the human model. They look like humans made of prismarine with blue eyes. Not eyes with blue pupils, but enderman eyes that are blue instead of purple. Upon death, prismarine golems drop 0-1 prismarine blocks. You will NOT get your armor back if they died wearing it. They will attack players that attack them, except the owner.
Now, it doesn't make much sense why prismarine golems can't wear iron and diamond armor. These are some ideas that make it make a tiny bit of sense. Prismarine golems cannot wear iron armor because it rusts immediately when they wear it. Prismarine golems will not wear diamond armor because they think it is made of prismarine. They don't want to wear prismarine armor because it might be made of another golem that died. They can wear chain armor because there is no proof it is made of iron. It could be made of some other metal such as steel.
Another small feature they would have is that they will kill players that their creator damages in their line of sight. This feature would also be added to iron golems. This makes both prismarine golems and iron golems useful in PVP.

These things would be very overpowered in a group, since they can all constantly pull you back when trying to flee. And seeing how much prismarine one monument contains, you can easliy create armies of them.
No support.
I think I have a solution to fix this. You have to click on it with a new rare drop from an Elder Guardian, an Elder's Eye. The Elder's Eye is used to bring prismarine golems to life. The Elder's Eye only has two uses.

A rare drop have only a chance to drop of 2.5%, there are 3 Elder per monument, then you will have to find and loot approx 13+ monument to create one pris golem, and its mere 2 damages ( 1 heart) respectively, which make it more like a burden than savant. I think it's not better than even an dog, which have four time its damage, and a hundred time cheaper, not counting the cost of materials and exp to craft its armor.

I said they did 2 HEARTS of damage. I might buff it to 3 hearts of damage. It does have more health than a dog, has a special ability to pull enemies closer, and can wear armor.

See but the thing is gold armor isn't that useful so having armor won't really help it, and the fact that it pulls an enemy closer is a good idea but not a good argument. A dog will chasing an enemy = "Prismarine Golem" attracting enemies. Plus no matter how you think of it, it doesn't really have anything else to protect it. You never said if it would cause knockback or anything when it attacked so a creeper could easily take care of it and 2 to 3 zombies/spiders/skeletons could as well. How would it work with endermen, would they instantly teleport away and then attack the golem meaning that the golem would pretty obviously die first as both do 2 hearts (on easy) and the enderman has more hearts plus with the teleporting and such = dead prsimarine golem. Overall I think it could be a good idea but it went from too OP to way Under Powered. So for the moment,no support.
One more thing, you already attract mobs so I get that it could be a distraction but a dog could as said before do the same amount of damage and provide as a distraction.

Understandable.
TBH this wouldn't be fitting nor useful.

don't ask..
TY. Although, I've actually started to agree with them tthat it is overpowered in some ways. I plan on nerfing that.

According to the developers, 1.8 is pretty much done for features.
