I personally think that Iron should be moved down into the same layers as gold, and Copper should be from 96 and below, and Tin 64 and below. Iron/Gold = 32 and below. Diamond = 16 and below.
Silver would be nice, but I'd rather have brass so I could make some brass armour.
And blue_vision, nobody gives a crap about that. Seriously. Nobody.
Leave it like this (MAYBE flint, if added as a tier 0 tool)<Wood<Stone<Copper<Bronze<Iron<Steel<Diamond
Simple.

maybe tin coulld be made into cans wich you can put food into and then you could stack food? silver should be used to make a depth meter and to make tolls more durable than gold but not as fast and it could be made into a silver door which vampires and were wolves if they were added they would burn within 6 blocks of it and a gold one which burns un dead ones problem solved :I
I've always found it a bit odd how the pattern goes wooden, stone, iron, diamond. (Let's face it. Gold doesn't really count in that list and even if it did it's still quite a jump.)
There should be some stuff in between iron and diamond.
Steel is a nice idea..
The color gets old though. We'd have 4 grey tools?
Stone, iron, steel, silver. It just seems a bit overused.
Not that I'm against the idea or anything. I'm all for more ores and whatnot.
I think there needs to be more in between iron and diamond though.
Diamond is a gemstone so why not others like ruby, emerald, opal, topaz, amethyst, sapphire, jade, etc. I'm not suggesting all. Just something from there might be nice. Maybe even quarts, corundum, or graphite. (graphite is an electrical conductor so more could be done it with it too)
Even a few of those could really fill in the gaps between iron and diamond.
I believe corundum comes almost right after diamond for hardest materials, then topaz, emerald is shortly after, and then quartz. There would still be a bit of a gap though. Obsidian is actually not much stronger than steel and steel isn't much stronger than iron.
It could go like: (Keep in mind, this chart is based off of realism)
Wooden > Stone > Bronze > Iron > Steel > Cobalt/ Obsidian (Maybe bring in obsidian items) > Titanium? > Quartz > Emerald > Topaz > Corundum > Diamond
Gold and silver are even weaker than copper and more precious so I left them off the list as well as Lapis and Redstone since those aren't as main of materials.
I'd love to see more minerals fill out the chart like that though. Iron to diamond is just a ridiculous jump.

Sorry, but Mojang said there wouldn't be any more ores/tiers.
Other than that, I'd support.
An alternate timeline emerges.
However, we must first start from the beginning...
look at the date on the post. tekkit didn't exist when this was made.

You bumped a 2 year old thread and tekkit didn't exist back then. Your brain. Use it.
