Auto-update for this game has proven very inconvenient imho, at least for us that play multiplayer. Since vanilla servertools is lacking, we rely on mods. And since these need to be updated after every patch, we can't run the server with the newest version, before these are in place. The result is that we are running old serversoftware, while our users have the newest clientsoftware. This means that most of our users can't play on our server. A rollback is not so hard to do, but we are also not allowed to provide people the means to do it, since this violates copyright.
This is an issue that bothers many Minecrafters right now, so I hope that we can get an official statement that you will look into this and make it easier for your customers to use your product in the best way possible.
