And to enjoy the new year, I give you a non-dinosaur, the Woolly Mammoth!
Can be used for holding chests similar to DrZhark's and FireHazurd's mobs. Also, when killed, it won't disappear. Instead, it will collapse on it's legs and be destroyable like blocks. Inside, there are meat blocks and you can hollow it out into a small house. (Just like the cavemen!)
It will eat wheat and flowers.
Can be found frozen in the main world rarely in arctic biomes. Must thaw it out for it to reanimate.

This is how I imagine the Jurassic world will work:
The dinosaurs would only be found in another place like the nether, so how about a kind of magic time machine that can take you to dino world, I don't know how it would be made, maybe you need diamonds or fossils parts or something. Basicly the prehistoric world is like the surface world, Unlike the nether which is randomly generated.
The Jurrasic would be similar in landscape to your current world when it was first generated (It makes a copy of every chunk when they generate and adds it to the Jurassic, that way it wont have you house in it or any holes dug my you)
The grass will be very dark and the biomes will be different, i.e. more forest biomes, but the trees will be different and the 2 flower types and will be different, like ferns or something and will cover everywhere.
If you go to a place in the Jurassic that you havn't explored on the surface it generate a new chunk and add it to the surface world as well as the Jurassic world. (If you get what I mean)
There will be no spiders ,zombies ,skeletons or creepers but instead only Dinosaurs and Pterodactyls will fly through the sky like ghasts in the nether. There will also be no or or chickens or cows, but maybe some ancient mammals you can get rare pelts from or food.
Another Idea is that the world will look different to the regular mine craft world, because of continental drift or whatever.
EDIT: Also if the world is the same as regular minecraftworld the rare minerals in the ground, coal, iron, redstone, gold, diamonds, will be replace by stone and then replaced so there in different places. Also there will be no fossils in the Jurassic world (Obviously)
I like the idea of the time machine. Could make use of the electricity in Redstone. Though, there will be more rarer occurences that allow you to go back in time. I shall reveal that soon. :wink.gif:
I believe the terrain should be randomly generated. Afterall, things aren't gonna look the same several million years ago, amiright?
And glad everyone likes the idea so far! Thanks for your support! ^^
So this is going to be for a new realm, right? Would you have to make a time portal to get to it?
Maybe accessible if one uses Diamonds blocks to make a mainframe......

Whip out your ......
And boom, you have a time portal. Of course, this would require 108 Diamond Gems (126 if you want to make it good looking), but it wouldn't be as fun if you could do it from the start.
T-Rex is a fail in the dino world, he was more likely a necrophagous than a predator.
He couldn't run very well.
If he fell on the ground he could take several min to get up.
His arms are a total fail.
His bite have similar force of a crocodile (about 3500 Kg)
And he is too big to ambush the preys
Rex isn't a fail, just not what everyone makes him out to be. Like you said, probably a scavenger, but they must've eaten something else to be able to grow large enough. Dead, uneaten corpses aren't around all the time, so the had to have hunted something.

so if your saying plant-eaters.....why do they have Sharp teeth? the T-rex was the king of the dino's.
its tail is a gun , and that face just makes me laugh. and raptors walk semi/straight up it looks like it needs to sleep
Umm... alright then. -.-

Probably may use Diamond Blocks with the various fossil ones to craft a portal. Other than that, thanks!

Where do you complete your sketches? I'd love to try to do something like this xD. Great work.
I do my work in Photoshop Elements 7, MSPaint, Macromedia Fireworks, and Flash 8 all together. Hope that helps.^^

Yay, Mammoths, are they found underground? because if they are, when you thaw them out they will just be to deep to get to the surface anyway so I guess there are on the surface. They should also be surrounded by the ice you get in the lakes of arctic biomes.
What could ivory be used for?
They can be found underground, but more likely half buried in snow on the surface. Ivory's use shall be revealed soonish. Before or after I release the next concept is the plan.

I like to believe he was both a scavenger and a hunter. Then again, we can't really know for certain since the big king disappeared 65 million years ago. All current evidence right now are just theories.
Man, I can't wait for this. I want my raptor cavalry!

You should make it so that other peices of the fossil can be put in to armor slots as well as the helmet. Also the ability to craft armor from fossil fragments.
I think that the portal should be more like this:
= Fossil Block

And light the centre to activate.

If you're callin' about the Mobtalker scripts, I no longer have access to them.
However, it's been getting tempting lately to put together a modpack that includes CustomNPCs, so I could definitely work in something along the same themes in the modpack's quests. Feel free to give suggestions of mods that promote an experience which minimizes mining grind in favor of exploration. I'll likely have to include Grimorie of Gaia to provide good models (No I'm not gonna directly change the default mob models)
this should somehow be linked to the present the way to get there instead of a dimension is a time portal
anyway we can find dino fossils in the future say we found one near our house
there would be a dino near it and if we killed a dinosaur near our time portal and we went back through
a fossil will be where it died
the chest is a boat. you put lava buckets in all the furnaces, then equip a fossil as the thing in your hand. right click the furnace while in it to transport yourself to whenever to fossil is from. on second thought, you could make the furnaces out of obsidian to make it harder to get the time machine.
