I think this idea is interesting, but im not a fan of the 2x2 grid. But i absolutely LOVE the idea for shields and stained glass/colored sand. Could someone make like a version which only contains these two things? I do not support the ore slab and flint craftables etc. Also what do you mean portable Grills? if they give you 1 cobble when broken then there no more portable than furnaces.
However: It reads like it was balanced for a much earlier version of the game. Can the details be reviewed by people who are more familiar with the game balance issues than I am? Remember, right now some drops (feathers, leather) are much rarer than before, food / healing is completely different, and as far as I can tell, you only get string now from killing spiders.
I would also like to see something buildable with clay. If you are stranded on a treeless island, you probably have access to clay, yet cannot make even a simple hand tool. Plenty of dirt that you can pick up, but stone that you cannot get. Some way to bake clay balls into hard clay to make a simple tool for digging stone.
Example: Two clay balls => one clay stick.
Three clay balls => one clay tool block.
Clay sticks + clay tool blocks => clay tools, able to mine stone. Significantly lower durability than wood.
Clay sticks + stone/iron/diamond blocks => regular tools, but with less durability than normal.

Glowstone sand, glowstone arrows, and torch arrows should have a light level of 7, non-stackable.

Whatever happened to the mod? And also, now i do think the "remove abillity to destroy logs by hand" is a very bad idea. Where did you get that idea? Its time wasting, and would take the player more time, so as to say they could run out of time and the mobs would bust him/her. I like the dagger and the boomerang.
Has no one tried coding this yet? it seems simple enough, I understand that it was meant for vanilla minecraft but getting anyone from Mojang's attention is going to be hard. I know how to code and this shouldn't be hard, if no one before me has offed, I am now.
