Anybody happen to know of a large biomes seed that starts you off in a Taiga biome? I've been unsuccessful at managing one in the game, figured it was time to reach out and ask for assistance.
Thanks
EDIT
As it turns out, using the seed Taiga actually spawns you in a taiga. Heh. Should always try the obvious first I guess.
Castleville as seed name gave me a large biome taiga, was spawned in ice mountains.(949977402)
also 31101977 gave me a spawn on a ice lake in the middle of a taiga.
It is worth noting that the "Taiga" referred to in the OP, which was in versions 1.2 to 1.6.4, is now what is called "Snowy Taiga" (or "Cold Taiga" between 1.7 and 1.12. Oddly enough, instead of adding a new snowless variant they made the original biome ID have no snow in 1.7 so this is important to remember if you want to upgrade older worlds as it will now rain instead).
Why not AMIDST? It is many orders of magnitude faster than having to actually generate a world - just click on "random seed" and a new map pops up within seconds (for best results use 1.12.2 as Mojang's terrible code made 1.13+ MUCH slower (hopefully they improved things by the full release but I've heard it is still much slower); aside from new ocean biomes and a few new minor biomes like Bamboo Forest the biome map has been the same since 1.7).
Also, be aware that this thread was created in 2012 and the OP hasn't been active since 2014 (it was necroed by somebody who tried using the seed in a modern version just to say it sort of works, then I replied saying that even the definition of a "taiga" biome was different when this thread was made).
Thanks

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
I suggest this Chunk-Pregenerator mod. It comes with a preview screen.
The cursor provides deteils about biome and coordinates. It's a good choice for random seed testing ect.
I'll put the Link into spoilers.

My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q

(Version: 1.17 Snapshot, 21W11A)
I found a seed: -3658979802358864974
In this coordinates: -409 64 -887
Is a little near to the spawn and it's very large
