Me and my friends are starting a new SMP soon and were wanting a good seed. I wanted to see what you guys classify as the "best" seed (that can include anything like an op start or a good base location). Any addition would be appreciated me and my friend have been having trouble finding good ones.

I suggest that you download Amidst v4.3, run it, select a VANILLA profile for the PCMC version you prefer,
and start hitting Ctrl-R. (the link is in my signature)
That will cause Amidst to display the biome maps of random seeds.
Hint: Place Amidst in it's own folder and create an empty file in that folder named "history.txt".
When Amidst starts up it will detect that file and from then on will create a log of every seed that it displays.
That way, if you hit Ctrl-R too quickly you can find out what the seed was of the previous map and redisplay it.
Ctrl-H gives you the seed input dialog.
I use Notepad++ as my default text editor as it will update itself if Amidst adds a line to history.txt while it is open in a Notepad++ tab.
Performance note: If you are looking for a specific biome at spawn for a 1.13.2 and above world, I suggest that you run Amidst with a VANILLA 1.12.2 profile to search (the world maps will be displayed about 3 times faster than with later releases). Once you find a world that seems to fit your needs hit Ctrl-C to copy the seed to your clipboard and switch profiles to a VANILLA copy of your desired release and use Ctrl-N Ctrl-V to enter that seed back into Amidst and display the desired map.
BTW: It is possible to have multiple instances of Amidst running at the same time. I currently have one for 1.12.2 and another for 1.13.2 or 1.14.4 running.
That way I can search random seeds quickly with 1.12.2 and if I see an interesting one copy and paste the seed into the much slower 1.13.2 / 1.14.4 instance.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
Personally, if I was starting a server, I would actually try & google seeds that give maps that have most of the main biomes within xxxx blocks from 0,0 (it depends if you are setting a world border or not)
[I would also try & find a seed that had an Island at/near 0,0 for the spawn hub to replace it & let players sail to the biomes around it]
If you have a world border then this way players can get a majority of the resources without having to explore too far..
Sometimes you MAY get a seed in AMIDST that doen't have a particular biome (it's rare but can happen) within your world border, meaning that players won't be able to get a certain resource (eg I had a seed that had no Jungle biome within a 10,000 block (-5000 to +5000) world border - yeah I know it was a small world)
Another way is to name the world/server with an original name and try to use the name as a seed, if using amidst you see an uninteresting seed, you can try a slight variation of the name and try again (for instance, a single dot at the end changes the numeric seed, as well as an exclamation mark).
