Someone on the Minecraft Forums Discus chat group just asked about the zero Minecraft seed.
This has been discussed before. Albeit quite some time ago so I'm going to post the list again.
Here's the thing. The Minecraft seed input routine interprets a blank or an entry of 0 (zero not O) as requesting a randomly generated seed to be used to create a new world even though zero is a perfectly acceptable seed value.
Now if any text string is entered the string is sent to Java's hashCode() function which uses an algorithm to convert the text into a specific numeric value.
This action bypasses the zero input test and the world generator will use zero as its seed.
One other thing. The Minecraft Seed input dialog will only allow 32 characters to be entered so usable strings for this are limited to that length.
Here's the list of zero seed strings that I know of.
Entering any of these strings (without the "s) will produce the zero seed world.
Frankly I think it's somewhat boring, but that's just my opinion.
If you want a spawn in plains near Extreme Hills, a river, a Roofed Forest, and Ocean shore then this is the seed for you.
Notice the Seed definition shown in the upper left corner of the PCMC v 1.13.1 map below.
There are no dangerous weapons. There are only dangerous people. R.A. Heinlein
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
How could it be boring? It's a world like any other. But all the same, I can't see why people would make a big deal of this.
Thanks!

Well, It's not as boring as I thought.
I just created the world in 1.13.1 using "pollinating sandboxes" (not that it matters which string you use) and spawned just to the east of a double ravine in the shape of a giant X carved in the ground at the edge of the Roofed Forest.
There's a third ravine between spawn and the ocean shore.
There are pumpkins right at one end of one of the ravines.
(I grow pumpkins to make jackolanterns to light mines and caves to show which way out.)
There are horses, cows, pigs, and sheep near spawn.
Actually likes an easy world to start in.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
Just tried it. Great early game stuff near spawn, as BigAlan said in a previous post. Lots of cool locations o set up a base as well. I've set up close to the ravines.
Wait, there are pumpkins? Those are some of my favourite blocks in the game, especially now that they have been updated to 1.13
Oh, and a little bit off topic, what do you guys think of the idea that we could carve melons into carved melons like with faces? Maybe then we could make jackomelons?

I may look into zero seeds to see if there's anything else that you may have missed or maybe that you forgot, exams are finished so I need a project to do to pass the time.

Here's the Minutor view of the area centered on spawn in release 1.16.1 using "pollinating sandboxes" as the seed.
This verifies the screen captures of the others. You just have to take into account which direction the players were facing.
North is at the top in the Minutor map.

I just created "pollinating sandboxes" in release 1.16.2.
The one thing I noticed is that the pumpkins are no longer near the ravine.
A search for "pumpkin" named blocks with Minutor produced 3 hits.
The green circles in the lower right of the image below are their locations.

This seed is remarkably close to the very first world I played in 1.5.x although it had taiga instead of desert/badlands to the north of spawn and no large island.

Did you not read my post #5?
It's usually a good idea to read an entire thread BEFORE you comment on the OP.

marvolichko quoted you word for word and it's not the first time they do this, I'm pretty sure they're a troll.
I literally just found the seed without writing anything. This is EXTREMELY late, but i never knew what the seed was, until i found this.
You mean you got it as a random seed?
Interesting.
Have you checked with /seed to see if your seed is actually 0 or if it's one of the many seeds that (at least mostly) generate the same world?
What version are you playing?
Just testing.
Cool!
The double ravine is still there in 1.16.1
No pumpkins though.
Just testing.

I was just exploring around using the "pollinating sandboxes" seed, and noticed something that oddly looked like cobwebs.
I went to explore, and found this odd generation. XYZ: 1538.963 / 74.33 / -1680.262 i'm using the 1.16.5 build
That's an above ground mesa mineshaft and the cobwebs are an above ground cave spider spawning nest shaft.
Better light that one up, it looks mostly covered.
That's a mine entrance and the spider webs around a spider spawner.
That tunnel had 67 spider webs in it.
I got 67 strings from when I cleared it.

Nice, although, why not use shears and get cobwebs? They make nice traps for creepers. (plus aren't renewable I think)
