That week started on Monday Dec. 19.

I want to note that the seed in question probably works in the official 1.9 release, and possibly as far back as 1.7.2, depending on just what the seed was about; for example, in 1.9 they added igloos, changed the location and number of strongholds, and revamped the End; the snapshot in question contains all of these changes (stronghold placement was changed again in 16w06a). Ocean monuments have existed since 1.8, and aside from that only some minor changes have been made, such as changes to which passive mobs spawn in an area (due to the addition of rabbits in 1.8, changed in 1.9), trees in forests (big oaks re-added in 1.9), and loot in chests.
I was looking at a description of a seed, and the author said "if you go into 15w51b and load up the seed". What does he mean by 15w51b?
15w51b Is a name of a snapshot version for the game.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
