Alright so I’m building a 4x4 vault door (tutorial from MumboJumbo) and there is a part where redstone needs to lead into a block, with a redstone torch on that block. Mumbo says the texture makes it look like it’s not going into the block, but mine just isn’t going into the block. If anyone knows why, or could suggest some solutions that would help.
Yes that’s what is supposed to happen but the dust will not connect to that block/ toggle the torch, that is my problem, if you have any solutions to make that go into the block with the torch on it please tell me
Hey toaster5222, I was able to reproduce the behavior in the Bedrock edition(see also picture below). So it's the Minecraft edition you used. Hexalobular has, in my opinion, already developed a nice solution to the problem.
Yes, that’s what is happening with mine, (Davalar’s SS) is it just my Minecraft version? Is there a way to change/update it to make it work? Right now I’m on Bedrock Edition. Thank you all that have tried to help so far
I don’t know if you would know Dalavar, (Hexalobular if you see this please respond) but once I do Hexalobular’s example for the bottom, can I do the regular version for the top of the door like in the video? If you don’t know I understand but any response would help me.
No idea, I really only use the Win10 edition for testing things.
You'd either have to test it and see, find a tutorial for a Bedrock door or post this in the Bedrock section of the forums and see if any redstone experts there can tell from the video if there are likely to be other problems.
(They've been talking about combining the Bedrock and Java sections and having us use tags to indicate which version we're asking about. But for now many Bedrockers probably only read the Bedrock section.)

Hey toaster5222,
to understand you properly: If you power the Redstone wire, the Redstone Torch will not go out like in the picture? (see Problem.1)
Best regards, Dalavar

For the situation in Dalavar's post you could add a repeater, like in my screenshot.
For help with your specific problem, post a screenshot of the relevant portion of the circuit.

Oh, I noticed the timestamp, that will be harder, not much room to work in.
And I just tested and it works for me, are you playing in Bedrock or something?
Redstone is one area where Java and Bedrock differ.
Just testing.
Unless you've built something there there appears to be lots of room underneith so try something like this:
(How do you take screenshots in the Win-10 edition?)
Just testing.

I use the Print button and then paste the image from the buffer into Paint for further editing.

Here's a less messy version that doesn't make you dig down as far.
(Also better lighting.) :-)
Thanks Dalavar!
I discovered I can paste it directly into IrfanView, that gives me both my screens in one picture but it's easy enough to crop out the other one.
Just testing.

Hey toaster5222,
it's a normal behavior in the Bedrock-Edition of Minecraft. You can't chance it.
Best regards, Dalavar
So I just can’t make the door? I’d have to make a different one? Thank you though
Hey toaster5222,
it is still possible to build this door in the Bedrock-Edition but you have to modify the circuit slightly based on Hexalobulars' recommendations.
Best regards, Dalavar

Thank you! I’ll test it out and if it doesn’t work I’ll try to ask over at the bedrock section.
