I'm trying to spawn in prefilled chests but most commands online never work. Currently I'm trying to use this command ( /give @p chest 1 0 {BlockEntityTag:{Items:[{id:306,Slot:0,Count:1},{id:307,Slot:1,Count:1},{id:308,Slot:2,Count:1},{id:309,Slot:3,Count:1},{id:267,Slot:4,Count:1},{id:258,Slot:5,Count:1},{id:257,Slot:6,Count:1},{id:256,Slot:7,Count:1},{id:292,Slot:8,Count:1},{id:50,Slot:9,Count:64},{id:50,Slot:10,Count:64},{id:4,Slot:11,Count:64},{id:4,Slot:12,Count:64},{id:49,Slot:13,Count:16},{id:42,Slot:14,Count:4},{id:261,Slot:15,Count:1},{id:262,Slot:16,Count:64},{id:364,Slot:17,Count:16}]},display:{Name:"Starter Chest",Lore:["Use this to gear up,or start with nothing"]}} ) but I can't get it to function for some reason. Any help is appreciated

This is a really old command. Numerical item ids were removed after Minecraft 1.8 or so and that's probably when it was written. A lot has changed since then so that's why it doesn't work. Luckily, there are still databases with the old ids: https://minecraft-ids.grahamedgecombe.com
