I'm playing on bedrock, working on a minigame.
I want the snowball to remove the 9 blocks of snow around it only when it is above a snow block
execute @e[type=snowball] ~ ~ ~ detect snow ~ ~-1 ~ fill ~1 ~1 ~1 ~-1 ~-1 ~-1 air
I don't quite understand why this doesn't work, and I haven't been able to find any answers online. Help would be greatly appreciated
P.S. I couldn't find the bedrock commands forum, If I'm in the wrong place please redirect me because I'm pretty clueless.
I'm not familiar with bedrock edition but maybe you'll find an answer in a non-Java-Edition forum: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-editions

I don't play on bedrock but I know the command system is similar to 1.12 so try this:
/execute @e[type=Snowball] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ snow 0 fill ~1 ~1 ~1 ~-1 ~-1 ~-1 air
you might need to make Snowball lowercase.
