I've built a large maze, and I'd like to tile every space on the floors and ceilings with item frames, holding a specific item. Is there any way I could go about this, other than doing it manually?
I had an idea of replacing all the air in the maze with command blocks with commands summon the frames in all adjacent blocks, but I'm not sure how to go about that, or if it would work.

Does anyone have advice about this?
You can use a simple teleportation command to teleport an armor stand forward and summon item frames from it. Keep in mind that summoning a large number of item frames in one area can lag.
/execute as @e[tag=frame_placer] at @s run tp @s ~1 ~ ~
/execute as @e[tag=frame_placer] at @s run summon item_frame ~ ~1 ~ {Facing:0,Item:{id:"minecraft:diamond",Count:1}}
So a bit of an unusual question here.
