In an effort to keep plugins minimal on my server I let new players walk over a pressure plate to get starter items via a command block. To avoid having them abuse this feature is there a command chain that will give the item just once?
In an effort to keep plugins minimal on my server I let new players walk over a pressure plate to get starter items via a command block. To avoid having them abuse this feature is there a command chain that will give the item just once?

Just attach a chain command block to it and tag the player:
and then modify the give command to filter the players by tag:
you could also set up a scoreboard timer to remove the tag and allow players to use the pressure plate again.
