In previous versions you could give particles to players with: /execute <player> ~ ~ ~ particle.... etc. inside a repeating command block.
I'm trying to do the same in 1.13 pre2 to make the effect work but the particles are spread very far away
Here's an example:
execute as <player> run particle minecraft:angry_villager ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1 10 force
I'm not sure how to get the particles to actually be near the player. If someone could help that'd be great
Try,
/execute at <Player> run particle minecraft:angry_villager ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1 10 force

Ok just figured it out, I knew it would be something simple lol.
The last 3 ~ lines aren't actually coordinates of the player, although the new system made it seem like it when it game prompted me the input options.
This command works:
/execute at <player> run particle minecraft:angry_villager ~ ~ ~ 1 1 1 1 10 force
also the "at" helped
I still don't know what the difference between "normal" and "force" is at the end but it doesn't seem to matter.

Normal is if you go out of the distance of the particle, you can't see it. Force is that you can always see it no matter how far you are.
I'm doing this command with bubble_column_up but it goes too fast. Is there any way to fix that?
basic bish arial font
change the speed to 0
Some particles like end_rod with this command go too far. I want it directly around the player.
Also, i tried 1000 bubble particles and my game crashed lol
