Hi all! I am going to show you how to make brushes in Vanilla Minecraft in 1.9+!
The first step is to get a command block. For the people who don't know, you get these by doing:
/give YourNameHere command_block 1
Replace YourNameHere with your username in-game.
Next, place it down. Then type in:
/fill
Now press the option to have the command block always powered. You can do this by pressing the rightmost button in the command block interface.
This is the most important part of this command; stop the command right here and exit out of it. Because if you type out the rest of the command right now, it will activate and you will have to start over. We will come back to this later.
So now we have a command block that just has /fill in it right now. That's good. Now we will move on and type more in.
Open up the command block once more, and type in the following:
~ ~ ~ ~# ~# ~# YourBlockOfChoceHere
So your command block should look like this:
/fill ~ ~ ~ ~# ~# ~# YourBlockOfChoiceHere
Replace YourBlockOfChoiceHere with any block you wish. Replace # with any number you wish for the dimensions. For my example, I will use glass and will make the dimensions 5 by 5 by 5:
/fill ~ ~ ~ ~5 ~5 ~5 glass
Now exit out of the command block.
!IMPORTANT!: Hold down ctrl and press the middle mouse button (the scroller) to get the command block with the command in it. If you don't do this, you will just get an empty command block. If you do hold down ctrl and the middle mouse button, you will get the command block with the command in it.
!IMPORTANT!: Remember what I said earlier? That if you didn't exit out of the command block after typing /fill and just continued typing the rest of the command bad things would happen? The bad thing is this:
If you type the entire command at once, then press the "always active" button, it will automatically activate the command an you will lose the command block. That's why you type just /fill and press always active so that you don't have to start over.
Now just place down the command block and watch your structure be made before your very eyes!
If you followed all of these instructions, you should have a command block in your inventory that can make big structures super quick and easy!
As a last note, do this on creative, if you do this on survival you will lose the command block.
