Is it possible to set the score of a player to an alphabet. I tried this command:
/scoreboard players set @a test Working
and it sended this error: 'Working' is not a valid number
So I'm just asking if it was possible. If it is, how?
Thanks!
Currently (14w11b) you cannot. Concerning scoreboard data, there is a new tag called "RenderType", defaulting its value to "integer". Attempting to change it causes it to reset itself to "integer". It's possible that in the future, we can change the type of data stored within specific objectives (meaning "string" for text). This tag is for the scoreboard.dat file, so you cannot target the raw tags in-game in any way.
