I'm making a recreation of all the Frogger games, and I have a huge issue here. In frogger, there are monsters, cars, creatures, etc. that move in a certain pattern. I'm using minecarts to make them move. However, if the player fails to get across the road, river, etc. they accidentally push a minecart and that pretty much messes up the whole pattern of the minecarts.
So is there a way to amke it so that minecarts can't be pushed by players?
However, you could make a workaround by having pistons push blocks up from the floor (cars and stuff) that move in a pattern, and a command block that causes you to lose if your Y position gets too high (if a piston pushes you up).

Thanks. That probably will work. My only concern is if you aren't aligned with the block which the piston is pushing, it will push you off to the side, rather than up.

Thank you!
I meant "from" not "brom"
