A. It's been done before.
B. There's a better version (that does what I want, I'll get to that later).
C. A and B (I reiterate these since they're the most common issues with newly posted designs.
Now, I'd like to know if there is a list of elevators from the entire community (not just one user's elevators, like with the various "MK" series). If there is, please post the link and I'll ask my question there. If not/in case my question doesn't get answered there, I'll ask here:
What is (to date, and as far as we know) the fastest, most compact pressure plate-based elevator in which each layer is powered individually. What I mean by that is that instead of one signal that propagates upwards at a speed that matches the player, the signal is activated per layer as the player passes through the plates. the reason I'm looking for an elevator like this is that I find these to be very reliable (not saying the others are, I have just had the best experience with these). With the other elevators, the signal and the player would sometimes get desynchronized and the player would either get stuck in the pistons or fall.
I tried to make this post as "politically correct" as possible, so please don't murder me if what I'm asking for is obvious. Thanks.
This is goood..... I was trying to make this with staggering pistons but it was too slow
also powered from pressure plate designs never fails.(if client and server desynchronize, client would not press plates and wait for server to push you up)

However, I'm sure that either:

@sks, thanks, I'm pretty particular to the pressure plate method as well.
