hello, i'd love to help, i'm a fairly advanced redstone engineer and it would make me year if you let me contribute to this great looking project. i've built a 1 bit commuter, piston text displays, light-switches,BUD's,and i've invented/modified many many many logic gates so they can be more useful. (i also have quite a few combo lock prototypes.)

minecraft experience: earliest stage of Alpha.
I would love to help, and help building on the "computer concepts" zone of the world of redstone.
I have made a Cpu, but in a logic gate simulator. Would love to help, as I have never taken CS class, and would also like to learn from some smart people.
Looking forward to your reply.
May as-well apply for helping, cant hurt :smile.gif:
Also, i think i can get a server set up to host this, but dont count on that.
Hey shrogg, it would be awesome to have you and jessassin helping out on this project. When are you around? Can you contact me via Skype? I'm bob_whiteman on Skype.
Hey Kids, TaviRider here. I'd like to present a project called...
TaviRider's World of Redstone V2.0
Based on Minecraft version: 1.0.0
Project status: Bootstrapping
Background
So far over the previous version of the world, TaviRider's World of Redstone V1.1, has been downloaded over 10,000 times. But that world ran into two problems: Rapid Minecraft updates made the world out of date, and the project grew too large for one person to maintain.
I'm recruiting people from the Minecraft community to build the next version on a multiplayer server. I have a simple starting point already generated, a rough vision and plan for the elements in the world, and a plan for organizing the community to be able to contribute. Now all I need is an army of contributors to help turn this into the world's best resource for redstone!
Contributors
Several different skill sets are necessary for this project. Contributors can choose which level of responsibility and time commitment they want. This project needs contributors of all redstone skill levels, from redstone beginners to bleeding edge researchers. The roles described below are about project roles, not about knowledge of redstone.
If you would like to contribute, contact an Architect.
Architects:
Architects are responsible for the overall quality of the entire world. They assign projects to contributors, resolve disputes or design questions, and have nearly unlimited rights to modify the world.
TaviRider
Senior Developers:
Senior Developers have broad rights to modify the world and are expected to contribute to and own major sections of the world.
(TBD)
Junior Developers:
Junior Developers have basic rights to contribute throughout the world.
(TBD)
Testers:
Testers contribute primarily by reviewing sections of the world to ensure they are clear and comprehensive. Although feedback is welcome from anyone, testers take responsibility for thoroughly reviewing sections of the world.
(TBD)
IT:
IT is responsible for the administration of the server itself, including server stability, mods, bukkit plugins, and so on.
(TBD)
Project work items
Current work items:
Document the sections
Obtain server capable of running the world
Provide screenshots of the world as it exists now
Document the overall vision of the world design
Have contributors review the sections
Recruit initial contributors - At least 15 people have expressed interest so far
Future work items:
Launch project!
Provide download link that is periodically updated
Web-based map overview
Bootstrap second world instance, reset nightly, for the public to use
Marketing
Dedicated web site: Forums, download links, map overview, etc.
Things are moving along quickly! At this point we have over 35 people that have offered to contribute to this project, which is far more than I hoped! Jessassin has offered to set up a server for this project. I'll be coordinating with him over the weekend to get it launched.
I've roughly assigned the first batch of contributors into roles. Most people are Junior Developers. Over the next couple weeks I'll promote people from Junior Developer to Senior Developer.
If you would like to be a Senior Developer, please read this: Senior Developers are responsible for an entire section of the world. They decide which circuits go into it and how they are documented. They also coordinate the work of Junior Developers. If you are currently a Junior Developer and want to make this higher commitment to the project, please let me know which section of the world you would like to own.
I'd love to be a senior contributor although junior would be fine.
I specialize in Optimising (Size and/or speed) Designing new logic gates/flip flops.
I know how all the logic gates and how parts of the computer such as RAM, ALU and CPU.
Making custom fitted designs is also my strength.
I would love to be a junior developer, I work in making useful stuff, and trying to make it small, purty (hidden), and use as little redstone as possible. And lots of TNT Cannons, but I dont know whether they'll be on here.
I would like to help. I think I can be a senior developer as I have done a lot with RAM, ALU, Logic, and a bit of ROM.
So would you like to be a Senior Developer in charge of Simple Computer Components (shifters, adders, muxes, demuxes, RAM, etc)? Please keep in mind that this is about teaching people about those components and how they work, not about developing new ones or trying to build one of every possible type of those components.
Thanks.
the simple things..

You mean a repeater clock?
Ooh, dunno if it helps, but repeater clocks don't get stuck anymore when unloading chunks.

so i was wondering if i could be like a BETA tester of some sort?
