Due to the nearly useless search function, I was not able to find an example of this. I'm sure it's been on here a million times. This is what I have so far:
It's a standard 3 block elevator. Each set has it's own circuit, and what I can't figure out is how to fire them on and off to produce the correct lowering sequence. I know what the sequence is, I just don't know how to turn the signal on and off rapidly for each piston set. To the left you can see I was attempting to use ring memory to produce the on/off sequence, but I gave up on this since I didn't think it would be fast enough. Any help would be appreciated :smile.gif:

Pistons can not pull back a retracted piston. They also to not pull back any blocks other than the one its head it stuck to. So to get three pistons back you need to pulse them in a specific order.
ABBA switch for the ABCCBA sequence, a falling edge trigger on A when it goes off that pulses B at the end.
Neither of those would fully retract the pistons. The correct sequence is C off, B off, C on, C off, A off, B on, B off, C on, C off. Maybe I should be more clear:
This is a 3-piston elevator with a block on top. What I DO know how to do is make it go up, and I know the sequence for it to go down. What I DON'T know how to do is power the wire on/off in the correct sequence. The only idea I've really had so far is to have a line of repeaters; this obviously won't work because a repeater down the line will keep the whole thing powered, so it doesn't toggle. So again, I need help specifically with powering each circuit on and off correctly.
Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
You are right, there are more pulses that are needed to pull the top block (not piston) down.
ABBA switch: ABCCBA then pulse C then B then C again.
ABBA switch is bottom middle. Falling edge trigger on the right.
This is the wiring off of the falling edge trigger middle goes to B the wire on the right goes to C
This is showing you C you need a redstone torch to activate three blocks
I can probably make some schematics if this isnt clear enough.
Here is a .schematic of one I just made, levers on both floors that work no matter what the other levers set at. (XNOR) Should be what you are looking for! Fast and pretty small- (Im not the most compact redstoner)
Pics for the elevator:

Piston 1(Bottom piston):A
Piston 2:B
Piston 3(Top piston):C
To fully extend the set, the pattern is: A on, B on, C on
To fully retract the set, the pattern is: C off, B off, A off, B on, B off.

Thank you very much, Draco. Now I just need to figure out how it works.
