Question: does sleeping in a bed affect redstone clocks?
Been coming up with a design for a 'hourly' clock in Minecraft utilizing multiple smaller clocks, and was curious if beds will affect it's accuracy. If sleeping ruins the clock's precision, then the project might be scrapped.
Yes sleeping will screw up an hourly clock. Sleeping only changes the sky and light levels. Your clock is not hopeless. Build a light sensor, and have it reset your clock at morning. This should account for sleeping plus your clock will always be super accurate.

Thanks for the reply. And looking at Etho's Light Sensor tutorial, and its can be done. But the light sensor ruins my design. :\
Overall, the clock design I have may not make a good 'hourly' clock (since its a subterranean design), but will be good for longer interval events or extended delay timers.

Thanks again Sparky for the quick reply.

Wow... that is pretty impressive.
I'll keep these design in mine whenever I need a light sensor.
Thanks. :biggrin.gif:
