Guys, it's clear that OP wanted to stop the argument because the thread itself is turning into a discussion. If that were to happen, this will become a flaming thread. If that happens, the thread will be closed by moderators. That's not what's supposed to happen, right? So stop arguing.
OT:
I can't describe the awesomeness of this :ohmy.gif:
If there would be Minecraft 4k MP, that would be rediciously awesome with this. Maybe you could even make a server inside Minecraft 4k? Lol.
Thanks for the support.Minecraft4K itself is not a MP game BUT it is possible to make our own MP game. It would suck until I get the CPU's built though.FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DONT READ ANYTHING BUT BIG LETTERS, THIS ISN'T A WEB SERVER, DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM.
I hate to mention it when the issue seems more or less settled, but the title still says "web server". That might be why people are still posting about it.

That must be the reason. Even though the main thread has big words telling you it isn't and there is many posts stating it isn't. Why I'm frustrated at people.
I maked a pc in minecraft that you can upload sprites that you can make in the pc to mediafire.
Works realy. It only has 2 mb and 0,1Gb ram. (100mb ram) download will later avaible
I'm going to first attempt to understand what you said:
I made a pc in minecraft that allows me to draw sprites. I can upload my sprites to media fire. This really works. It has 2 MB of memory and 1GB of Ram. Download will be later.
I hate to knock you, but I need to "comment" on this statement.
1.Your sprite making thing is a GPU. A GPU is one component of a computer. Making that does not make a computer.
2.To create something like mediafire, you would need many people in certain areas to keep chunks unloaded due to the amount of memory it has. Nobody in minecraft has ever made that much. Did you make maybe some kind of storage device?
3.The largest RAM To date in minecraft is 4K.......
Before throwing up a download can we see some screenshots?
How are you planning to do the bandwidth throttling?
I'm surprised it took so long for this one too pop up!
Okay, every-time a client packet comes in, a counter is moved up one. I have a OP code that checks the counter to see if it = 10* (This runs on a clock by default). If this returns true, I will send the IP right back where it came from with no data, or I can just shut off all incoming & outgoing communication.
Once I see the that the requests are slowing down, I have another OP code to turn off the throttle and let the counter start again. Along with allowing all requests to come in like normal.
When I implement IP based hosting, I would have the ability to do this per IP.
*This counter will reset to 0 after a long period of time.
So you are decreasing the traffic in order to speed up processing so that processing of all traffic can recommence? Sounds like you're setting your server up for DDoS already. xD

Once I apply the throttle I'm basically saying "Client, go get your own packets", while my server takes a vacation.
Now I am starting to see where you're going with this, it all becomes clear now. All I can say is, have fun. Something like this is gonna take hours of dedication to complete (properly).
97% of teenagers would cry if they saw Justin Bieber on top of a tower about to jump. Then I'm one of the 3% who is sitting there with popcorn screaming "DO A BACKFLIP"
Also, how is this CPU going? Specs and general progress please.
Nice Job Man, very sexy
There's always an idiot on the internet.
OT:
I hope we see some screens or a video very soon! Maybe even... (gasp) the actual downloadable world/schematic!
Fo' srs, I want to know the same things @Talfryn is.
I will keep this thread up to date!
I don't care what a web server is, this isn't.
1. Thank you for your support.
2. A download won't be soon. Maybe after CPU 1 is built ill have a video!
With the amount of posts stating were not discussing web servers you still bring it u. Please don't. And, this is much larger than it seems.
