Really dude? It was a previous posted comment I made. I'll just copy and paste here again.
Ok I think I got it, they created the texture pack with an invisible block and invisible detector rails so it only looks like they are flying when they are actually just riding on the invisible rails.

thats impossible you see all 3 rails so they cant have a pack with invisable rails of any kind
they are using the pistons mod its outdated now but he changes the class files so the push blobks higher and farther or they simply edited the class files.
the video was made in 1.8.1 so this statment is invalide
I think I know what they did.
1. Got a lot of speed going
2. had a piston on top of another piston push them off the rail.
3. when they got the maximum height they spaz out so that's when they use a /fly command from a bukkit plugin on their server to get them across.

you cant pull a minecart with the fly command.... and you can also tell they only used one piston
It was deff a mod.. vanilla pistons don't do that and that's what caused them to get propelled into the air on the carts you can very clearly see them on the 2nd jump.
I recall one trick with getting a cart to fall onto more carts piled on each other and it glitched out sending the cart your in flying across a gap further then normal, but I can't for the life of me find the youtube video I saw showing that glitch out.. and I doubt it even functions anymore since 1.7
Another way to recreate that would be to use TNT.. which obviously they didn't in that vid, but using TNT to propel players in carts has been a well known one for quite awhile. Has the downside of causing damage to the player.
If you pause the video seconds before he hits the jump, you can see the configuration is 2 boosters, 1 detector, 1normal rail, then 2 pistons with nothing on them (the gray square is part of the texturepack). As you can see the pistons stay several seconds after it launches Honeydew, so they did not use a monostable circuit. The only explanation then is a mod.
wtf are you talking about

I sent it im just waiting for a response but i linked this forum page to them.
Did anyone else notice if they were going faster? In the video they seemed more fast-paced then my minecarts go o.O
EDIT: Could they have used the TNT Idea to text pack an invisible tnt explosion? and maybe have a mod that made tnt NOT destroy any blocks?
