First thing I made was a secret hidden door between the legs of my giant sheep that leads straight to my base. There's a button nearby (which is hard to spot unless you're looking for it) that sets off a few repeaters for a delay, and some note blocks that go TICK... TICK... TICK... DING! and then the door opens for just enough time to go through.
Next, I carved out a little room under some of my chests because I had a single block of smoothstone sticking out that I couldn't replace with a chest (because of other chests being around it) so now there's a block of cobblestone 1 block down that I can stand on, then press a button to bring it down for a second so I can walk off into another room. It's basically a really simple elevator.
The last thing I made was stupidly complicated at first because I had no idea what I was doing. I made a big dark room for a mushroom farm, and I wanted some lights that I could turn on and off in there. I ended up making a little mechanism that pulls the very middle block of stone down into the floor, and then pushes a block of glowstone up to replace it's spot. Then some more pistons push the stone around to where the glowstone was when it wasn't visible, so that I can turn it on and off with just a single button.

I've made a completely hidden base, with an underwater door for exiting, and a button controlled piston that hides the entrance shaft. It's my first redstone creation
Not sure if anyone else has said it, but I am a bit disappointed that cascading pistons doesn't work. Even with a sticky piston, they can extend alright, but won't retract.
What I am talking about is a piston attached to the end of a piston. If it worked there would be a myriad possibilities.
A little bit of experimenting and looks like I may have a way around the cascading piston problem!! Hint: it involves repeaters to delay the signal. The piston cannot move when it is active, so the one being moved needs to be retracted first, so delaying the redstone signal might get me around this. I may have an update on this...because this is going to make pistons extremely useful
I've used the pistons to create a fully automatic mushroom farm and two hidden doors so far. I might do automatic wheat, reed, and cactus farms if I find the room and need to.
In fact, I just got finished making a very long hallway that has lights that turn on one by one, for effect.
Out of curiosity, how do you're light switches work? With mine, I have lava above a piston, the piston acting as a flood gate, so that when the piston is not active, the lava drops down into an empty space, which is covered by glass to have the light shine through. I had tried to do some more elegant solutions with glowstone, but I could never get it to work properly. In the context I was using them at lest.
EDIT: it doesnt require sticky pistons, but i had to use one because i made a mistake so there is hope even if you dont have any slime kills

Sounds good
Haha use Too many items mod
Griefer:
WHAT KIND OF HOUSE IS THIS!
HOLY CRAP! NIICE!
switch must be "on" when you place & remove the torch
That's pretty amazing.
You should make an elevator with that :wink.gif:

Beware the [SSSS].
God bless. Enjoy.
I don't really hate anything though

Sounds cool
Can u provide some pics and a video perhaps?
