I was trying to make a 6x3 piston door, but I have no experience with redstone. I laid out the pistons and when I power them with levers, it works. I have written all the timings down, but I have no idea how to make the circuits in-game, i.e. how to make the pistons extend and retract when they should, just by toggling one lever. I've been looking for tutorials for several days and found none that would help me.
The timings for opening (in ticks) are:
(U = unpowered, P = powered)
Piston 1: U U U P U (stays unpowered)
Piston 2: U U P P P U P U (stays unpowered)
Piston 3: P U (stays unpowered)
The timings for closing (in ticks) are:
Piston 1: U U U P (stays powered)
Piston 2: P U (stays unpowered)
Piston 3: U U P (stays powered)
Also, I'm doing this in Bedrock Edition.
Would you please be able to help me work out the circuits that would make the pistons fire in those timings? You'd have my deepest thanks.
it would have been helpful to have a picture of the door. Based on your description I built you a 6x3 door that can be controlled with three pistons. (See pictures below)

the circuit you want to made, makes use of the "block dropping" behaviour of the Pistons. However, this behavior only exists in the Java-Edition. (1) It is therefore not possible to build this door in the Bedrock-Edition. There are good attempts to circumvent this problem. However, these solutions are not suitable for the door.(2) As an alternative I have built you a door based on my first idea. Because of the "block push Limit" it has become a 5x3 door instead of the 6x3 you want. (see Solution.1)

The door does not make a use of the block dropping mechanic. In fact, I tested it with levers in bedrock edition and it works. I just need the circuits that would execute the timings I wrote in the original post.

you were right. I didn't have to consider this particular Piston behavior. With doors from 3x3 on I always automatically think of double-block piston extender and therefore of this behaviour. I have extended your basic design with the necessary circuitry. (See Pictures below)
