I have already successfully built an adding calculator, but now I want to build one that can multiply.
My question is - how do I build a multiplier?
There is another thread on this forum that says that if I wanted to input a number like 23, I can press 2, then when I press 3, the two is multiplied by 10 then adds three. All I need to know is how to actually build a multiplier.
Any step-by-step explanations, pictures, or videos would be very helpful.
Multiplying can be considered as simply repeated adding. One way might be to load a hopper, dropper, or dispenser ( clocked dispenser would probably be best as time between ejections is easily controlled and can be as slow as your adder device) with multiplier number and each time an item leaves a pulse can be generated (pass the items through a more hopper with a comparator on it and then into a chest maybe ?) Use these pulses to repeat add. Just an idea, haven't tried it.
As to multiply by 10, that means just move the 2 over a space.
