I'm trying to do the most simple redstone door I could think of using pistons and I can't figure it out. I want to hide all of the redstone so, what I thought of doing was sending a signal down with a pressure plate or lever. I've tried to figure out how to make a down flowing signal by myself but I can't, would someone please help me?
Acrivating the Pressure plate/lever/button will power the RSD one block below it
When you run the line of RSD up to activate the pistons make sure there are no solid blocks that 'cut' the line:
In the following, if B1 is a solid block R1 & R2 will not connect
R1B1
B2R2
I'm not sure where you want to put the activators (one each in- & out-side) in the pictured door...
levers or buttons on the smooth stone block visible above the top (inverted) wood stairs and in front of the lower wood stairs will work, but will not hide the RS from the view shown....

WARNING: I have an extemely "grindy" playstyle; YMMV — if this doesn't seem fun to you, mine what you can from it & bin the rest.

For transmitting a RS signal down:

For a pressure plate or lever:
PoL....=pressure plate or lever (or button)
B........= block
RSD...= Red Stone Dust
B........= block
Acrivating the Pressure plate/lever/button will power the RSD one block below it

Ohhh, ok, I get it now. Thanks for the help!
