In 1.9, they improved boats greatly but adding one really annoying flaw. They sink now.
This one small mechanic is a large let down but none the less I've been busy trying to find a way to allow a boat to go uphill.
The main problem I'm running into is if a boat has a player in it, the boat is like untouchable by any command.
I've been going back and forth with entity/players based off of this command:
/execute @e[type=Boat,r=30] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~.1 ~ minecraft:water 0 minecraft:tp @e[type=Boat,r=2] ~ ~1 ~
I have tried to add motion to the entity data and that does not work if a player is inside it, but works otherwise.
I have my ramps based so that they can go uphill if this worked, and it does work if theres not a player in the boat.
Does anyone have an idea of how to do this since they added that bogus mechanic?
