Essentially your only other option is to manually detect a block in the direction it's meant to move, then teleport it 1 block if there was no block. You'd repeat this process on a clock, which can take a long time depending on distance. You could always repeat the operations on the same clock cycle, but visually it will simply jump from one point to another.
The only restricted command is /entitydata {Motion}.
After some experimenting, I found that having a /tp command and a relative /summon command can increase the speed to a higher count. By using scoreboards to detect whether the block within the armorstand's hitbox is air, collision can be detected.
However, this still isn't fast enough.
I've seen videos such as WubbiConcept's Raycasting, and downloaded maps to poke around. What I seemed to find was that these command modules used incredibly long-distance teleportation of armorstands in increments to determine a path, and somehow string it up to create a fast-moving projectile.
How can I teleport ArmorStand(s) in a way such that it travels extremely quickly while still able to detect collisions?
And no, the Motion tag is not an option. /entitydata and {Motion:} leads to awkward behavior in the command module I am working on.
Please reply with help. Thanks in advance.
Hello. I am a noob. Help please? Thanks.

Is it, this? .
