Hi i am making a capture the flag map and i dont know how to make the capturing part like blue team walks over a block and gets the flag it says they captured it and take it back to their flag and it takes 5 captures to win. Its 1.7.10
Summon a witherskull with a name where the flag is (I suggest you make the flag be a banner). Then have a fill clock that has a command block with something like
Then have a comparator coming off of that with all the other commands like /setblock x y z air to make the banner go away and then /tellraw to write "Username has the Red flag!" and then a /scoreboard command to distinguish which person has the flag so that once that person goes back to their team's flag, there would be another witherskull there and another command block running a command like
Then a comparator coming off of that command block which leads into more command blocks with commands like
/scoreboard players add Blue Captures 1 and /setblock x y z to replace the banner ("Flag") that just got captured and then another tellraw that says "Username has captured the Red flag!"
This probably seems like a lot and is very confusing so tell me if you want me to create a world with something like this in it. Hope this helps.
Ok I will but it's night time where I am so I will have to make it tomorrow. Here are some specifications of what I will make:
I'm doing it in 1.8 prerelease 3 because 1.7.10 doesn't have many of the things needed to make a capture the flag minigame
There are 2 teams, red and blue
If you want to get a flag, you just have to go to where the banner is at
You can't get your own team's flag
When you pick up the enemy flag, it will place the banner(Flag) on your head so that people will be able to see who has the flag
You can have armor in every slot but the helmet slot, which will always have Diamond blocks in it if you're on the blue team, and redstone blocks if you're on the red team. The helmet slot is also where the flag goes if you pick it up.
The sidebar will occasionally switch between Kill counts, Capture counts, and who has the flag
You can't hurt your teammates
And I'm fairly new to command blocks so don't expect everything in it to be perfect :]

It's in full release 1.8
When a flag carrier dies, the flag doesn't drop where they died, instead it goes back to it's original position
You can't capture a flag if your teams flag isn't at base

Also if you download it and go into the world make sure all of the redstone fill clocks and setblock clocks are running or else nothing will happen, and you need to be on either the blue or red team in order to interact with the flags.
