Ok, lets start.
3 New stone types, Cool. Nothing big. Shouldn't take more than 30 min to code or so. But can't be said to be AMAZING or BIG. generates like crap
Enchanting. Good god did they change this.
you now need lapis, which is easy as heck to get, I wish they made lapis more rare and not renewable to make it this magical ore that is required to enchant stuff. Enchanting itself is still crap. You cant easily switch what you can get for example. You first gotta enchant a trash item and then hope again.
Renaming is cheap. I like that.
Repairing is so bloody cheap, its overpowered, i got a sword with like Sharpness IV. Knockback III and looting III. had to repair it. less than 10 levels for a 1 durability left sword.
Mossy stone bricks recipe. nothing bad, I dont get why they didn't left it with no recipe.
Villager trading. Meh, some new sub-villagers and so on. Looked at screenies and 16 emeralds for a powerfull swords seems so easy.
Simply murder some zombies at night to get 1 stack of flesh. Then sell that for 2 emeralds. Go mine in extreme hill with your diamond sword you got in your first/second day of playing ingame and get like 14 emeralds. Done.
Door stack, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS, THIS ANNOYED THE HECK OUT OF ME.
Slime blocks: Meh. like those trampolines i have here. Nothing that special.
Overal, this is what i saw in it
-Little update!
-Made game easier by making repairing strong stuff cheap.
-Updated Enchanting so its even more annoying.
-Added some new villager classes.
-Added 3 new stone, Took us more than a hour.
-Added simple trampoline behaving blocks. Made by crafting slime balls togheter.
-Alot of tweaks
This update doesn't deserve to be called big, i see this more as 1.7.5 :/
Smaller updates generally mean more work and thought is put into them. We could really use a lot more small updates rather than gigantic ones like 1.7.
And of course, there's only been 1 snapshot. There could easily be more down the pipeline.

No, they did not. The Plugin API's release date is currently "When it's finished" and will probably be like that for a while.
Well yes. but how about the balancing part? I mean. Enchanting got annoyingly annoying (lol) and repairing just got 2 damn cheap.
The only big change is difficulty locking, now you don't have to only play hardcore to have it.
The other stuff doesn't even matter.
Stacks of doors is nice, but it doesn't change villager breeding is just dumb as is.
Majong added something to make things more difficult and then nerfed that added difficulty right way yet again.
If I've read correctly this snapshot is way noobing the game further.
Enchants take less levels on top of adding free exp to villager trades.
Rottenflesh/string trades adds more to afk mob farms
Repairing is easier
lapiz is limitless
But...being super easy is how the game is already, so nothing much changed. You just have one extra step to go through when you spam villagers for everything under the sun or have a reason now to have a villager or two near a mob tower.

Can't you read? I said I only play PC Minecraft

Man, people are getting really worked up over the FIRST snapshot.
Stop saying stupid stuff like 'This snapshot is overpowered." or "This update is garbage." It's the first snapshot out of many, so at least wait a couple of weeks until you start posting threads complaining about stuff that has only been messed with for about three days.
Do want to add I don''t think lapiz as an enchant item was a terrible idea.
But its bad because of everything else going on.
If the thinking is that "now new players will have to play for a long time without enchants so progression is slower". Well lapis isn't too hard to find mining and you get a quite a bit. Plus diamond enchants last a long time.
If the thinking is "Now villages are more useful! Well, villages have been useful since they first had iron golem and later diamond gear, then saddles, glowstone, ect."
If the thinking is "Now players truly must explore and find a village!" No, they can create one with potions and a golden apple.
If the thinking is "Now players must expand or stay in the same area that's getting more barren!" Well, no...villager trading for diamonds/iron/lapis/glowstone/redstone.
If the thinking is "Now players can build more huge buildings with lapis blocks!" Well, yes, yes they can.
If the thinking is "Now players who won't explore, won't find a village, or go to the nether.
But have spent the entire time mining out the entire area can't enchant anything anymore.
Or who never go to diamond level to find lapis stop being able to enchant!"
And maybe you got a point there, but who does that? And to get the enchant table you'd have already gone to diamond level, unless you found a surface chest.
The one reason I can see that MAY make sense is that the change discourages new players from enchanting iron or lower gear. While making leveling so easy they'd want too.
Which by itself is pretty cool, except that not far into it lapiz can become infinite or in super abundance for you.
Rather than keeping this cool restriction that gives server people a reason to tame new areas and make good cash for explorers. We gotta easy mode it and make it trade easy. And we're going to add difficulty locking, but not set villager trades to the locked difficulty such as hard worlds not selling lapiz.
I only commented on what it is now. (And i dont believe they are gonna change the whole update anyway,)
Then stop calling it a "little update" or "1.7.5".
There isn't even any reason to judge the size of a snapshot, you'll be getting another one right away.
And especially stop jumping to conclusions about the update just because one snapshot is small.

Well, looking that on this forum we have people that support bad designing. And overal making the game easier.
I expected more. After a disapointment for me thats 1.6 and a meh thats 1.7
You expect more? Well I know this is hard for you to understand but it isn't Mojang's job to cater to you personally.
If you want more then just be patient and wait for the entire update to be developed. THEN you can make your silly complaint threads.
Oh and were you referring to me about wanting the game to be easier? Because if you were I'll remind you of the hellstorm that people created when zombie sieges and general difficulties were increased. I loved the new zombie and hostile mob mechanics. I don't want the game to be easier, but you know what? I'm fine with this new enchanting system. If I want it to be harder then I'll make rules for myself like not being able to make xp grinders or only being able to mine lapis with a non-fortune pickaxe.
I will deal with itjust like every other person should.

How about mojang just remove mobs in the game, i guess you can deal with it too, makes yourself some reason to keep it difficult, okay?, well that aint gonna be fun.
Also, i say this. This update will be a disapointed just like the last 2. Watch my words

Watch your own words. It may be disappointing to you, but not to a lot of people. Personally, I'm already pretty impressed with just the first snapshots. Difficulty locking by itself makes the update for me.
Half of me says that there's a lot more to come. As you said, the update was supposed to contain big survival changes, but as you said they aren't really big (nor even that survival-related). If anything it contains more creative changes than survival changes.
The other half says that the vast majority of the features of an update are in the first snapshot, and what we see now is basically a slightly buggier version of 1.8.

You blew that way out of perspective. Changing one mediocre thing is totally different from removing a base game mechanic.

Tip: They should have announced that by now.
they announced that two month ago, when they started planning the 1.8 version

You can't really judge the entire update on one measly snapshot.

This is the first freaking snapshot, you have absolutely no idea what the next few will include.
Who said these changes needed to be big? Honestly...no one ever said that 3 new stone types was a "big" change.
Then stop calling it a "little update" or "1.7.5".
