The Monday 13w43a snapshot has fixed a bug where maps that contain transparency, when placed onto an item frame, would cause it to be see-through. This allowed amazing one-way glass and this Las Vegas lights by SimplySarc (). This may have been a bug, but should be brought back as a feature in a new snapshot for the purpose that map makers can use it for. Post below if you agree or disagree.
Nope, I don't see the need for it. Using Minecraft for level design at this granularity is like cutting down a tree with a herring. It's simply the wrong tool for the job.

I think you are going to love my Survival Let's Play series on YouTube! It's called Spaceboot1's Garden. I make pretty things.
The "bug" added so much to the game. Made it so entire pictures would be made adding for more possibilities for adventure maps and huge world maps in survival as seen on Mindcrack. They should revert it back.
Things should work like they're supposed to. Sure, if you had a cut-out continents hung up on a wall it'd make sense, but overall I'd rather have it as the tanned spaces and not see-through, because that's how the map looks when it's in my hands.
People who build with bugs can expect their things to fail when the bugs are removed.
This. You might not like it, but if you're using a known bug to build things, you deserve what comes when the bug is fixed.
That said, I've seen some very interesting things made with bugs. I suggest that if you see a cool way to use a bug, you make a suggestion that it be added as a feature BEFORE the inevitable fix.

'What is beauty?', because that would fall within the purview of your
conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems."
Want to play Minecraft SSP like Spaceboot1? Try my modpack, all mods made by me, Spaceboot1!
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
