If you have a world in minecraft, when 1.7, the major biome update is released, what will happen to the biomes in your current minecraft world? Will some of the biomes be converted into the new biomes?

After about the 10th comment on a thread, no one pays attention to what you have to say. ):
Your world is saved as it is generated, so you will see no changes to the terrain in already visited / rendered chunks, but once you go far enough that new chunks start generating you will see the new 1.7 generator kick in. This however means that you will get an ugly edge where the old and new terrain generators meet, there is no avoiding that.
I actually have a good suggestion for you: figure out how to make a travel system in the nether. So have a portal and travel a ways away from it (preferably in a straight line) and keep going until you think you have gone far enough (I'd say a few hundred blocks) then make a portal in the nether to the overworld.
You will find yourself in a 1.7 updated place! All you have to do is jump back in the portal and get back you the one you set up in the "1.6 world" and you will be able to access everything!
Ghast explosions don't break cobblestone, and if you are wondering about your worlds I am assuming you have a lot! Make a nice long corridor in the nether and maybe even set up a minecart system to help you go to each portal. It's like travelling through time!
If you convert your world to a bukkit server you can get a world editor and knock down those borders in the places you really want to keep.
I've done this a lot on my world.
When 1.7 is officially launched I'm going to use something like MCedit or another world editor and chop out the chunks of my old world that have not been developed. Then have the new world generator fill in the chunks again with 1.7 content. This way I keep my world and do not have to walk days to find new generations.
I have it a bit easter though because I have a big ocean around most of what I've built on, so I plan on going to the border of that ocean and begin chopping.
Any uguly borders that crop up will most likely be covered by water, or I'll just wip out the Voxel Sniper and melt them down.
Take me a few days but I will have my old world and good looking terrain.
Oh, by the way, what exactly do you mean by "ugly edge"?
This is what he means by ugly edge. It may not always be this big, some can be quite small but they definetely are ugly.
