I basically just hate every single part of 1.7. I just don't find these biomes useful, and a lot of the new biomes are only minor variations and some of the biomes are ripoffs from mods... 1.7 is just adding a bunch of useless updates, basically. At some point mojang has to stop updating minecraft with stupid little things and think about something that is actually going to help gameplay. Let's summarize 1.7.
-added new biomes
-added new flowers
-changed the options menu
when instead, they could have been fixing bugs.
They have they probably don't list the minor ones. Remember the black darkness death bug? They fixed it
ripoffs from mods
Have you compared the biomes from 1.7 to the mods? You clearly haven't.
It's like nothing can please these people who pull out something to complain about, but instead they COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WHOOOOOLE UPDATE.
-Some of the biomes look like they were built by a three year old
I'd love to see you code a game like this. I've seen my brother make a 2 part pirate text adventure I can't understand a single line of it.

They could add an option to change the amount of caves that generate, like you can with mineshafts in superflat instead of reducing them (this can be done with very little work since only a couple numbers control cave system size and generation frequency; just use the superflat string format to save the settings). Not that it really matters to me since I already modded the generator (more and bigger caves...) and it looks like it can be copied over with minimal changes when 1.7 comes out and MCP updates (I already used JBE to successfully modify 13w39b as a test).
I like everything in 1.7 except the fact that theres too much gravel not enough jungles and they totally changed roses. They could have kept roses poppys and rosebushes but no they removed it ruined gardens and caused a bunch of flame wars. Not really a big thing but seriously use your <Insert word here>ing head dinnerbone.

Likes:
- New commands/command improvements
- Achievements are saved per-world
- Amplified generation
- New terrain generation
- Shaders
- Bug fixes
Dislikes:
- Anisotropic filtering glitches for me and makes all blocks blurry unless turned off
- They're going to remove block IDs
- Removal of roses
- New textures look out-of-place for me many times
- Sprint button glitches for me and acts like it's always held down until I press it.

Pretty much everything about the update that I don't dislike or am neutral about.
Neutral:
Stuff regarding the plants.
The new trees aren't really new; you can't get saplings from them, and they are made from existing trees.
Lilypads are renewable... but only through fishing. I've always hoped lilypads and flowers would just naturally spread. Lilypads naturally spreading wouldn't be bad if dropped items didn't crash boats.
Dislike:
OCEANS. My biggest complaint about the update.
Oceans were ruined with this update.
As if shrinking them down to make them lakes in an endless landmass wasn't enough, they also have a gravel bottom.
I prefer their original size.
Some say the original size hurts exploration, but having continents rather than an endless landmass helps exploration.
The bottom should be sand and clay, like it is before the update except without the dirt.

Yeah, the new commands are great

well i like all the new biomes and the summon command i dont like the new ice spike biome and how they removed the rose. now my house is incomplete cause i usely put dandilions and roses in the front of my house and when my world has went to 1.7 my roses will disaper.
Despite being unable to download the 1.7 snapshots, I like the stained glass, command block minecarts, new biomes (yay, stained and hardened clay are spawning naturally :D), podzol, the new flowers, and more.
However, I don't like the poppies - roses are better, though.
I wish the roofed forest was actually dark, with enough space for mobs to spawn, and reduced passive mobs.
Right now it's just some obese oak trees and mushrooms

The only thing I dislike is that hey only added 2 types of wood which still look just like recoloured oak planks. Or am I the only 1 that wants plank diversity?

- The new biomes (with an exception, see below)
- Dark oak trees. Absolutely great stuff for building
- Resource Pack Menu
- /summon, /setblock, /testforblock commands
- Nether Portal more flexible format
- Stained Glass
Hates:
- The Plugin API that ruined any chance of playing up to 1.7.4 with mods. And who knows when we get mods back...
- Small lake-like oceans. They no longer help shape and define continental landscape.
- Birch Forest biome, I just don't see the point. Birch trees used to give variety to forests. Now, it's like forest apartheid.
Oh no, how dare Mojang implement thing that will make the future Modding API easier for us.
We all are fully aware of the benefits of the Mod API, thank you.
What some of us weren't expecting is that it was actually decided to implement it by breaking backwards compatibility. A common no-no in software development.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
