Hey whats with this command failing to work. I tried everything I could think of and checked this forum, but could not figure it out. I want to spawn a sword named the bane of life that has sharpness 32767 and gives you max life -19 so you only have half a heart when holding it which would be really cool for like a multiplayer game. Also, If I could make it unbreakable, that would also be nice, but I need to start here. Here is my butchered command:
give @p diamond_sword 1 1 {AttributeModifiers:[{Operation:0,UUIDLeast:3,UUIDMost:3,Amount:-19.0,AttributeName:generic.maxHealth,Name:BaneofLife}],[display:{Name:"Bane of Life"}],{ench:[{id:16,lvl:32767}]}
I am not sure how to combine the attribute and the sharpness together, let alone put the unbreaking in there. If someone could help me, I would very much appreciate it. I have changed these curly brackets and brackets a thousand different ways and its driving me nuts!!
Yeah you have the brackets all wrong. Here's the right command:
/give @p minecraft:diamond_sword 1 0 {AttributeModifiers:[{Operation:0,UUIDLeast:3,UUIDMost:3,Amount:-19.0,AttributeName:"generic.maxHealth",Name:"generic.maxHealth"}],display:{Name:"Bane of Life"},ench:[{id:16,lvl:127}],Unbreakable:1b}
Also note that enchantments can only go up to 127, not 32767. Also attributes are weird, it's a good idea to always have Name and AttributeName be the same. Also you gave it a damage value of 1, meaning it had taken 1 hit in durability. I also plugged the Unbreakable tag in there, since you wanted that.
For the max health adjustments, just remember that when the player selects this sword, they will still have 1 heart (So they can take 1/2 heart damage without dying) however they will not be able to heal themselves past 1/2 heart once they have taken damage. You could fix this by giving the player perma poison (Or even just like, for 2 seconds) when they hold the sword.

Enchantments do go up to 32767, as the tag-type is 'short'. You may be thinking of potion effects, in which "Amplifier" is 'byte'. The "Name" attribute tag can be anything; having them the same as "AttributeName" makes no difference. It could also be used to detect whether a specific modifier is applied to a player, so differentiation may be required.
If the goal is to have the player die in one hit, then setting the attribute to -20 would be more suitable:
/give @p minecraft:diamond_sword 1 0 {AttributeModifiers:[{Operation:0,UUIDLeast:3,UUIDMost:3,Amount:-20.0,AttributeName:"generic.maxHealth",Name:"BaneofLife"}],display:{Name:"Bane of Life"},ench:[{id:16,lvl:32767}],Unbreakable:1b}
Thanks a lot! I can't wait to test this out with some friends! Ultimate power, but at a cost! Thank you Skylinerw for helping me out! If anyone uses this, just note you can't take even a little bit of fall damage or else your done for! Tested that out, count those 3 safety blocks. Have a nice day everyone, and may the sun shine in your favor. If it doesn't, I shall command it to!
I am also having troubles with one of my commands. I took your advise above and changed the placement of the brackets and it kind of fixed the problem. It actually summoned the Zombie, but the horse was no where to be found? Please help I am so confused. Here is the command if someone has an idea of what is happening...
I'm not even sure if my previous reply went through so here it is...

I have been trying to make a custom potion but I am getting a message on my command block saying "Data tag parsing failed: Encountered multiple top tags, only one expected." Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I'm on 1.8.3. This is my command.
Things you got wrong: Firstly, the /give command goes "/give <player> <item> [amount] [data] [dataTag]", of those only dataTag has brackets. DataTag is made up of individual tags, separated by "," not "." (Commas not periods). Thirdly you just structured and wrapped the brackets around wrong... Look here for details on how to do it right: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Command_NBT_Tags and Finally, id, in regards to potions, should have a capital I.

Is there a way to add the Unbreakable tag to a give command for a sword that also has a name and lore data tag? I can't figure it out. EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. IGNORE DIS.
Sorry that I'm posting WAY late, but I'm also having a bracket problem (multiple data tags.) Please help! This is my code:
/give @p diamond_axe 1 0 {display:{Name:"RealZach_187's Axe",Lore:["RealZach_187's favorite weapon"]},ench:[{id:16,lvl:32767},{id:17,lvl:32767},{id:18,lvl:32767},{id:19,lvl:32767},{id:20,lvl:32767},{id:21,lvl:32767},{id:22,lvl:32767},{id:32,lvl:32767},{id:34,lvl:32767}]},{AttributeModifiers:[{AttributeName:"generic.attackSpeed",Name:"Meh",Amount:1024,Operation:0,UUIDLeast:1,UUIDMost:1}]}
And P.S., will the damage from the attribute command actually work with the speed put on 1024?

@BigBodChung - I'm not sure why your command's not working. Hopefully Skyliner can figure it out when he sees.
@The_Redstone_Maniac - Yeah, you've got the brackets all wrong. Try this:
/give @p minecraft:potion 1 16385 {CustomPotionEffects:[{Id:1,Amplifier:3,Duration:10000},{Id:3,Duration:10000,Amplifier:3},{Id:16,Duration:10000,Amplifier:3}],display:{Name:"Hyper Boost",Lore: ["Wahooooo!"]}}

/summon Villager ~-455 ~4000 ~-362 {Equipment:[{id:iron_axe},{id:chainmail_boots},{id:chainmail_leggings},{id:chainmail_chestplate},{id:chainmail_helmet}]}

Can someone fix this command for me?
/give @p spawn_egg 1 0 {EntityTag:{id:"Skeleton"}} {tag:Equipment:[Count:1,id:air]}}
Here is my command, I've been putting quotations around literally almost everything and I can't get it to work.
/summon "Zombie" ~-1 ~ ~ {"CustomName":"Lasaqna","CustomNameVisible":"1","PersistenceRequired":"1",{"Equipment":[skull 1 3 {SkullOwner:"Lasaqna"}]}},Properties:{"textures":[{Value:"PlayerTexture"}]},"DropChances":["2.0F","0.0F","0.0F","0.0F","0.0F"],"Attributes":[{Name:"generic.movementSpeed","Base":"0"},{Name:"generic.attack.Damage","Base":"0"},{Name:"generic.follow.Range","Base":"0"},{Name:"generic.knockbackResistance","Base":"99999"}],"Invulnerable":"1","NoAI":"1","Silent":"1"
I get a big feeling it has to do with the [skull 1 3 {SkullOwner:Lasaqna] part so I'm gonna play around a bit with that Thanks
