"Soupbone"? It's Dinnerbone! (If you ask me, you did that on purpose because you hate devs)
And if you want something craftable, you need to say how it should be craftable!
>they can be used to create mob armies!
The Hostile mobs will attack everyone, including you. Same thing if you get a bunch of wild wolfs around a ton of players and hit one of the wolfs.
As if I needed a reason to dislike the devs more.
If you absullutely hate devs, then you hate what they've done, which means you hate Minecraft, so now I'll ask you why you are on a minecraft fourm if you hate minecraft.
Gotta cater to those twelve year olds and protect them from scaaawy griefers, after all they make up the majority of new Minecraft purchases; the bottom line.
>nerfing health and regeneration potions and golden apples without any previous complaints or suggestions that they should be nerfed, because dinnerbone played 20 minutes of UHC (balancing the core game around a game mod)
I'd probably agree here, but to be honest I've never needed to make either to begin with. Maybe I would if I were going to fight bosses, but there's no good reason to fight the Ender Dragon, and the Wither is unbalanced and massively griefs worlds, which isn't in any way worth the effort to get a minor buff I don't need that requires wasting massive resources that could be going to something more useful on a big pyramid and only works when I'm close to said pyramid.
>horse armor can only be found in dungeon chests, adding tedium and completely screwing over multiplayer servers
I'm fine with this. You don't need horse armour. It's an extra. A "nice to have". Its practical use is limited, and you're not going to be spending all your time on a horse anyway. Mostly, it's just for show. I can't speak to how it would "screw over" multiplayer, though,,,mostly because I see it as only being useful in PVP, and PVP in Minecraft is a joke.
>zombies spawn more zombies everywhere (even in lit up areas and on half-slabs) for no reason, depending on how long you've stayed in a area (completely moronic), adding tedium and completely screwing over multiplayer servers
This one I do agree with. Minecraft got popular as a game that encouraged creativity. Making the difficulty ramp-up the more you've stayed in an area discourages big projects except in peaceful and creative. Meanwhile the zombie swarming, which ought to have fixed complaints about zombies being too easy, instead makes them an absolute chore to fight. I am not the only one who would rather box themselves in and spend an entire Minecraft night doing nothing, despite being perfectly capable of fighting them. When even the players that are into combat see it as not worth it to engage, I think that shows it's time to admit that might not have been as fun as you thought it would be. I'm not saying it necessarily needs removed, but I think it needs controlled. While I'm on the subject, though, I'd like to point out that this "Make it only on Hard" method of balancing things was a bad move as well. I'd like to see things like Zombies breaking doors and other effects that aren't scaled by difficulty but just "turned on" moved either to Hardcore, or better still to their own setting independent of difficulty. Maybe "Difficulty Modifiers"...?
>make hunger system even more tedious rather than reworking it, adding tedium to the game once again
I can't speak to this one. I've found it pretty much impossible to get an established base without having more food than I'd ever need in the process. I actually feel like the hunger system needs to be more demanding. That said, I'm not really sure how well the way they're going about it works.
>name tags non-renewable and only obtainable in dungeon chests (seriously what the heck)
b-b-but ... horses
My only complaint is how the name tags work. It would be fine if they were a non-consumable item and didn't need an anvil to apply a name to (seriously, what's up with that?). As is, they should have a recipe to balance out how impractical they are. It doesn't really bother me all that much, though, since you don't really ever need a name tag.
for god sakes get over it your complaining about something that's optional. really? your gonna whine about something that you don't even have to have since you can change versions? well just reminding you that you got the option
First of all, stop being so condescending. It's irritating and I had to edit it out before I could even reply to this civilly. Secondly, that argument doesn't work. It would be a valid argument, except for three things.
Bugfixes and feature changes are not handled separately, so you cannot avoid unwanted features without also having a less stable game.
You can't pick and choose what changes to keep, so wanted features have to bring unwanted features with them.
Last I checked, Xbox players don't get that luxury. Their fault for buying Xbox, I suppose?
If it wasn't for the new features of the resource packs, I wouldn't even update. I have no idea why they felt the need to take a chainsaw to all these mechanics that no one was complaining about.
So now golden apples are overpriced and useless, instant health/regen are nearly useless, and strength potions are ridiculously overpowered. joy.
I recall a really gamebreaking bug that someone actually modded the game to fix a while back. Maybe I can find something like that to fix the potions/apples, while retaining the other features.
You sir, deserve a fedora.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it...everything in the game worked much smoother when SP and SMP were two different things.

No, you don't. Stop going on 4-chan. It rots your brain.
