No. Learn to read. This thread is not saying that. Please don't lie.
It's called constructive criticism. You think you're "helping" Mojang but you're not.
Posts containing only images apparently constitute rule violations, so let me just say in text that I applaud you for this post. It's far too irritatingly often threads like this devolve into nonsense as forum members jump on the hate bandwagon for any comment that isn't praising Mojang as demigods.
If they're going to change the rules, can we EXPECT cows with random skins and uniquely colored creepers in the future? Should we?
This is the PROBLEM with some of the community members, they all cry and rant about what they want in the game and they EXPECT mojang to implement it exactly the way they want. If they don't get what they want, we get TONS of threads on how mojang is lazy and stupid, which are all lies. Maybe if you appreciate what mojang has to offer, then maybe you'll understand that mojang work tirelessly to update the game, all for you, free.

Yes, they're doing it completely out of goodwill for no price, we most definitely did not pay for the game, heavens no.

Well duh you paid for the game, you dont pay for the updates, your being rude and sarcastic. Would you like it if you paid $60 for every update? I don't think so.

My apologies, I sometimes offend people without intending it. I would like to point out, however, that Mojang did promise backers of the game that future updates would be completely free of charge for them in no uncertain terms.
And Mojang would be lucky to get away with charging 60 bucks for every update, given how little is added in each one. They would do better to charge for a 'season pass' or something of that nature. My point is, they're a business. They can't keep the flow of new customers without updating, but on the other hand they'd instantly kill the game by asking for money come each patch.
Their solution is to simply not charge for updates at all, and merely depend on new purchases to supplant development costs. Sustainable? Heavens no, but it seems to have worked for them thus far. Given this simple observation, you can imagine my annoyance when people leap to Mojang's defense with nothing more than their misguided view that our friends over in Stockholm do what they do out of the good of their hearts.
If that were the case, I'd be on your side, believe you me. The kind of @#$%$ on this forum would disgust me if it were for a free game being maintained entirely at a developer's expense. But it isn't. Most of us are paying customers here, and as such I think people are well within their rights to 'whine' about certain elements in an inbound update, just as others are free to counter said criticism with their own arguments.

I understand completely what your trying to say and I 100% agree with you. The point I was trying to make was that Mojang can't satisfy everyone, that's just life, I can't satisfy everyone in my family and be perfect. What makes me mad is when people go on and on and on about how everything that mojang has implemented into the game is just, garbage to them. Then they go on and on about how their ideas will make Minecraft all high and mighty against other games. Mojang can't give the community everything they want, but at least give them some respect for just updating regularly. How many companies do that? Not many.
I honestly don't care what they add to the game, as long as its enjoyable and fun to play.
I personally never liked Horses to begin with. Pigs are fine for transportation. Sure, Horses can jump high, can wear armor, but that makes pigs useless. Cows and Chickens butted in and made Pigs useless for food. Then Horses come by and nobody wants Pigs anymore. And yes, the designing plan goes against how all other mobs were made.
Now, if we had more of a use of Horses, and a more difficult way of taming them, maybe I'd complain less.
As far as I'm concerned, they were. In the forms of pigs.
Nobody ever wanted pigs, they were a terrible form of transportation, the only thing that you could use them for is pig racing.

Minecraft is one of those games that is unique and there are not alot of games out there that are like Minecraft. It would be just plain stupid to just stop playing Minecraft because Mojang added Horses, Emeralds, Villager Nosies, or Pumkin Pie. Then what game would you play that's just like Minecraft? Roblox? No, never, I would die before I would ever try that game and play with its community.
I think it would be better if horses were changed from this:
to this:
(ok, the foals legs are a bit too tin, but otherwise it looks good)
as that would fit better with the rest of the mobs, I myself think that texture packs ruin the look of the game, so I therefor don't use them, this however, feels out of place with the other mobs, due to it's complexity, so I do believe that mojang should have made their own model for the horses, instead of copy/paste from a mod, because horses look like they are from a mod (how bout that?)
but that is just my opinion...

Too late now, I don't think Mojang I just going to take all that work and throw it in the garbage and start over.

Um, what work?:
http://www.minecraft...-and-more-fish/
(admitting that Mojangs do have a lower res texture)
However, they did not put in a bunch of work for this model.

Seeing them next to each other like that makes me realize how much I don't care. I think the OP is right, and Roxa's horses look more appropriate for Minecraft; but the difference is tiny.

I think you are going to love my Survival Let's Play series on YouTube! It's called Spaceboot1's Garden. I make pretty things.
Either case, the current horses fit fine. Definitely don't want to ones suggested on post 57. It took me awhile to figure out they were even horses.
You must admit however (well, you don't, but if you didn't you would be wrong) that those horses fit better with the other mobs, as far as I am concerned, the current horses don't fit at all, however, they look fine for something I am not planing on using anyways. (personally, I think Mojang would be better off either getting HD textures for the horses (like the originals) or simplifying the current model, either one would probably look better then what we have now)

Personally I think the biggest difference is the legs, for whatever reason, the wide-thin-wide legs really irk me I know that is how real horses are, but it gets to me when it is in minecraft.
(well, that and being that I can't really change the model for them without considerable work :\)
Don't be deliberately dumb. Horses could have been done according to previously established Minecraft conventions. But Mojang chose to make them all blingy-moddy.
This is not a thread saying horses shouldn't have been added. It's a thread saying that horses were done poorly. There's a difference.
Are you yourself being deliberately dumb or are you just this blunt? These 'conventions' are arbitrary and baseless because each new feature (examples I listed) were new and controversial to what was already the status quo at the time. Yet they came and everything was perfectly fine. Pay more attention to what is aforementioned and you'll make less a fool of yourself. You and the people who repped your post need to try a lot harder than this if you want to make a convincing argument. What a damn joke and waste of time.
The horse model uses 23 blocks - not including saddle and armour
The Ender dragon has 61 blocks.
The argument that they are too detailed is a ridiculous one, should we therefore complain that the ender dragon too be reduced? I actually like the additional block detail on the horses and would not care if other mobs too got an increase in block numbers.

You still don't get it. Nobody is saying that new things like wolves and ocelots shouldn't be added. Nobody in this thread is saying "Mojang shouldn't have added horses."
Minecraft conventions are laid out in the OP here, and in many other threads. At one point, it's true, they were arbitrary when Notch first thought them up. But now it's done, and now a Minecraft aesthetic is established. This doesn't mean that nothing else can be added; it means we expect Minecraft horses to look like Minecraft horses.
Established conventions aside, the horses aren't as good as many of us think they could be. Pretend for a moment that we don't care at all about what Minecraft has done before. These things are still true: the legs are derpy, the pixelation is off, jumping is clunky. These horses come off as a half-assed mod.
OWNED.
lol.
Yeah, honestly, no one cares.
People said the same thing about pig noses, and guess what? They weren't changed.
