why can't minecraft just make a hammer and then you chould combine coal and hammer on a anvil 9 times and then BAM! one diamond
only every time you hit the coal you can see bits and bits turning into diamonds?
They'd have to add your mom to the game to sit on the coal blocks.

Btw, as I know, It will turn to graphite first, after turning into one he should join his mom and sit at the graphite for long and let it take pressure and BAM! Synthetic Diamonds!

That doesn't even make sense. Coals need a lot of pressure and time to become diamond.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the Universe is for, it will be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
there, coal block already has a use, despite the fact that it saves up space. Only mineral block that is still useless is lapis block. And it will probably stay that way.
And about the diamonds... well, comon, diamonds are the main artists in minecraft, I think they should NEVER be renewable (diamond tools and armor are already renewable, though )
I like it, and there has to be a good way to implement it ingame. Why not use minecraft time, what not with all this talk about seasons. Place some blocks at bedrock, wait 5 minecraft years and bingo, one block of diamonds.

Im getting too young for this...
